Stopped off for lunch after visiting surrounding lakes. Warmly welcomed and seated comfortably close to a glowing hearth fire. Attentive staff delivered a well portioned lunch special of duck spring rolls, noodles and vegetables and a delicious chicken curry dish. Both arrived in good time, were flavoursome and well presented, yet unpretentious. Excellent coffee too. Will definitely make a return visit.

Lovely bar and restaurant. Much bigger than it looks from the outside. With a bar and pool room with i good size restaurant. There is also one of the best beer gardens in Ireland. The beer garden has its own bar and they make homemade pizzas. They also do a unbelievable BBQ for party's. You could not pick a better location for a summer party in this beer garden.

Last weekend my family had a Christening/Wedding meal in The Villager. From planning stage to the last person (inc small kids) departed for home, the advise, service and assistance from Maeve and her brilliant staff was more than excellent. The food was, as usual, perfect and the service prompt, friendly and efficient. Great experience all round. We'll be back soon.

We have never had a bad meal here, it's consistently good! There's a great wine and beer selection! The place is cosy and the staff are great! An all round winner!

My Fiancé and I came here on a normal Sunday afternoon in February. Not our first time here but the food never ceases to amaze us. Prompt friendly service, excellent menu with easy adaptation to dietary needs (gluten free) and the food itself is just perfect. Definitely give it a try if you get the chance!

27/01/2017 Staff are fabulous. The menu is incredible But the delivery of the final product
Caesar Salad was chicken goujons deep fat fried, garnished with streaky bacon slices & the salad leaves smothered in a dressing.. nothing but full fat, Very indigestible.
The main course Pork was presented as a very standard exactly rectangular piece which looked distinctly processed, was served with Vegetables garnish which were frozen veg. Not happy with result, I am sorry to say.
Because of the high fat content of my meal & my fellow diners.. very disappointed
As the staff as so so welcoming.
