  The Oliver Plunkett is a great spot in the heart of cork. Generally has a decent atmosphere with good music, the food is actually quite nice and has all the drinks you could want. This is one of those pubs everyone should visit if in cork. It's also surrounded by many other great bars.

  Super slow service, but fast food delivery. Like faster than getting drinks, it was weird. Be ready to be packed into small tables alongside other groups, but if you're friendly they are friendly! Our group rated the food 3/5 as well, it was good but seemed similar quality to that of an American chain restaurant.

  Lively bar and restaurant with excellent food and service. Went upstairs on one night and ate while live gig was taking place. I'd recommend the bacon and cabbage with mash.

  Loved the food , big portions Bacon & mashed potato a winner. Soup also delicious. Service very quick and friendly 15 euro for dinner each , soup 5 euro with fresh soda bread

  Great food. Great music and dancing. Very friendly. Superb atmosphere. Will be going back in June.
  
  Revisited many times on our recent trip in June 2017. Came with friends this time. Still the same great food and music with great company thrown in. Our next trip to Cork is already booked and a few visits to The Oliver Plunkett will be on the agenda.

  Awesome spot to catch local live music! I forget the name of the band, but when we were there, they were rocking some awesome blues rock!

  A great place to combine drinking and dinning. The food is really good and there is a wide beer and whiskey selection available. There also is live entertainment which was fun. Definitely recommend for people who want to eat and drink in a pub.

  Everything u need in a bar. Does it all right. Tea and scones. Lunch. Beer and music. One of the best trad sessions in Ireland. If u are on hols in Cork it's a must

  Terrible coffe but you will probably not came here for that. Stuff slow, inefficient and most of the time at thin line to be rude or not existing on upper floor. Empty ashtray outside? No way but they will remove your drink even if you didn't finish them if you not looking. Good sides? Nice interior, good choice of beers and wide range of Irish whiskeys, live music every day and for smokers one of few places which have smoking room in Cork.

  This two storey dining and drinking "emporium" isn't quite my cup of tea, but it contains a hidden gem. Upstairs, there is an open air courtyard, with a turf fire, and a bar, which acts as a smoking area. It would be a gem, except the bar is unmanned during the afternoon (you can bring a drink up from downstairs), and it can be difficult to get a drink even when open, if the adjacent bar is busy. However, it is still worth a visitand it does get busy quicklyso go early, if not often
  Downstairs is focused on food, and is usually busyand it does have outside canopies and tables at street level for coffee, beer, smoking and people watchingwhich can be fun in summer as it catches the sun for early morning. It also does some form of music, but I'll leave that for others to explore
