Our stay @ The Old Convent was the highlight of our trip to Ireland. We were fortunate enough to spend some "quality time" with Christine, Dermot and their lovely family. A visit with the 3 remaining Sisters of Mercy who live next door was a real "treat". Dinner was Spectacular !

This is an exceptional place to stay! Upon first arriving the host was so welcoming and showed us around the lovely drawing room and also the goodies and DVD room.
Our room itself was lovely (no TV which meant proper switch off time).
We went for a wander around the grounds and ended up in the hammocks and gazebo reading books and drinking tea.
We went in and got ourselves ready for dinner which really was the highlight of the trip. The staff were fantastic and very professional yet friendly.
The food was superb. I couldn't pick a favourite course! Then into the drawing room for a post dinner drink.
Breakfast was something to be excited about! I got baked eggs with crab and duckling 👌 couldn't recommend it enough.
Also the sparkling apple juice really made it feel like a celebratory breakfast.
Again, we retired to the drawing room to read the Sunday papers before packing up and loading up the car.
We then went to do the local 5 mile loop walk. A really enjoyable walk around the area.

My favourite thing about the whole stay was the beautiful atmosphere created. It's in no way a stuffy, posh establishment but has a very professional friendly air from first arriving to walking out the door.

    We will be back!!

Wonderful spot, this was our 4th time staying hear. This time was in the crows nest another lovely room. Dinner was fabulous as always and the bed is top quality. I unfortunately sat on a bench outside and in the heat the paint came off onto my jeans. The owner couldn't have been more helpful, trying to come up with solutions to get the paint off. All the staff were extremely helpful, I will be back and have great reviews from friends I have sent there.

Fabulous restaurant with rooms if you need to overnight. The highlight of the week is the 8 course tasting menu on a Saturday night. They also offer a delicious bento box meal on other evenings during the week. Small family run restaurant with very friendly staff and a very personal service

Exceptional fine dining in a beautiful old convent. The tasting menu was really wonderful and the service was flawless. They even arranged a separate dining room for my family and I as we had a small infant with us.
