It's a very nice pub in that it is not loud and overcrowded when you want to be able to have a conversation with someone.

One of the true hidden gems of the city and one of the oldest pubs in the country.Renowned for its "doorstop sandwiches" and food has been an institution in cork for generations.Great friendly staff,big portions and great entertainment.

Old world pub. Dont expect any trendy trappings. Rustic would be one word for it. But great atmosphere and good live music. Great selection of whiskeys

Best Sandwich in Cork, plays great background music, Rat Pack and Classical. Very well established. Section of Gents toilet open to sky so can get wet when raining. Unique pub!

One of my favourite watering holes in Cork, steeped in history. If there is a big game on you can keep up, but there is enough room to sit and chat if you are not, a nice balance.
