This place is great. I stopped in for a pint with my girlfriend one afternoon. Very busy in an afterwork sort of way. We found two seats in a side bar area facing a window. I got us a Diet Coke and Rum and a Bulmer's Cider plus a bag of crisps. The drinks were fine, the prices are typical for urban bars. We then went to the dining area on the other side of the pub. We were served by a very friendly waitress who was ON THE BALL. She was hilarious and was very helpful with my dietary needs. The pub is full of sports memorabilia and letters sent back from tourists who loved the bar. Its very cool and worth visiting. I will say that the entire dining area was tourists and non locals, but it didn't feel like a tourist trap. The prices are on the high side, but on par for the area.

Went to have a quick lunch. Laid-back and chill vibe. Good service, operative word is laid-back. Not for folks in a hurry.

The onion rings were just stunning. Best I have had. And I am an onion connoisseur. Fish and chips were good and the bread pudding was delicious without being too much.

Highly recommended!

Great crowd and service, hang out watch a game. Fantastic Irish coffee, so good they literally whipped the cream for it behind the bar! Awesome Irish pub atmosphere with a genuine feel of Dublin.

Great pub ! Food was excellent, people here know their job, and their beers, and do it wonderfully, kindly and with a big smile, greatly appreciated. The atmosphere is exactly what you would expect of a true Irish pub, full of life and so friendly. Really a great place to get a sense of "Irishness", would happily come back.

Amazing Pub with wonderful people and tons of history. Make sure to check out their signature Hairy Lemon Beer. The Burger and Guinness Stew were both phenomenal as well. Make sure you save room for dessert, because they have the best Bread Pudding I have ever tasted! Check out their cookbook too, it's an awesome souvenir to take home, and if there is a recipe you want that's not in the book just send them an email and they will happily send it to you!

Absolutely one of my very favourite pubs in Dublin, I come here every time I visit. The pub itself is very old and full of history, though not overpriced.

It has a small balcony / smoking area facing a small courtyard also smoking area. At first, it may feel a bit like a maze, because of the many staircases and doors and I'd say you probably could get lost if you're drunk and not familiar with it.

Another very good thing, is it's located in Temple Bar area, which means you don't have to stay all night and it's at walking distance from other amazing Dublin pubs, so it's spectacularly located for pub crawling.

It's a pub & restaurant with a great food & drinks menu. It caters for groups & small wedding receptions. It's family run & the staff are very friendly & very attentive. It's a sports bar too, so shows rugby & football. The atmosphere is great in The Hairy Lemon. Don't take my word for it. check it out for yourself.

If I were to choose one word to describe this pub, it would be "craic". Friendly patrons and staff. Great ambiance to watch the Six Nations matches! They also serve food! :)

Ran into this place at lunchtime and had a great experience, nice welcoming staff, excellent food and an overall good time.
Would for sure visit again, tried the bangers and mash based on a recommendation and couldn't have been happier with it.

We loved The Hairy Lemon! We happened upon it our first day in Dublin and after touring the rest of Ireland, we had one more night in Dublin so we ate lunch there and came to the pub at night! The manager of the food service was hilarious and so welcoming, the food was awesome and we had a grand time. We highly recommend The Hairy Lemon. We will be back someday! I had the tradtional Irish stew, one of my friends had Bangers and Mash twice, one had the lamb. Everything was delicious!
