Good convenient Cineplex. Kept quite clean however toilets on ground floor needs to be refreshed and modernized very convenient to city centre being only a few minutes walk from there

Good deal on popcorn and drinks. Seats are a little small, but comfy. Sound quality and projection quality are good.

There are many different cinemas in Cork City and County, I have been to nearly all of them. Some very impressive, some not so much. The Gate Cinema on North Main Street for me is the most iconic. Once you walk in the door you are greeted with a stench of real cinema popcorn and people going back and forth seeking to see the latest film at a very affordable price.

As a huge film fan, I feel at comfort the most when inside the Gate Cinema, a true film fan atmosphere is present. They have continued the tradition of having the big cardboard cutouts of the latest film characters and large posters hanging.

Each screen is beautiful in it's own way. Screen 1 & 2 are the biggest in cinema. Big wind screens and the rows of seats stretch back far. Screen 3 & 4 share a similar size with similar features. While not many enjoy small cinema screen, screen 5 & 6 are the small compact size that is needed to be drawn deep into great films. Comedies, thrillers, dramas, horrors, the genre of films available over time at the Gate Cinema is endless, just like the experiences a film fan can gain there.

Can't sing the establishment enough praise.

I watched movies there several times. And I loved it. Last time I was there when they were showing Ant Man with my cousin. Nice and lovely place. He liked it too

Nice little theatre! Gets the job done for sure!!
Fair prices, good snacks, comfortable seats, good size screens, friendly staff, and overall decently clean. Washrooms are a tad weird with the blue lights.
I'd highly recommend! Always a nice night out!
