The room was small and cramped , floor was incredibly dirty, it didn't look like it had be cleaned from the last people where there. Our shower was clogged up and flooded if you tried to take a shower longer then 5 minutes. The breakfast tasted ok but there service was awful, leaving our food down without any cutlery, and having to repeatedly ask for things because they did not do it in the first place. I will not be going back.

Stayed here in July 2017 great atmosphere .very central for shopping and touring west coast of Ireland. The owners of the inn where very nice and hospitable.the food was excellent and we would go back again .

When we arrived there was no one there to check us in , the chef called someone to come down and it took about ten minutes before anyone dealt with us. Rooms were clean but absolutely freezing. Also we were late checking out because no one told us what time we needed to be out at and one member of staff (a female with a high pitched English accent) got quite narky I understand we were late but she could have been polite about it and was extremely rude .

Room basic but clean, very good bar food and breakfast good but comes out on piping hot plates which is good for adults but my 2 children kept burning themselves. Room we had was right next to smoking area and with the bar being very busy one of the 2 nights we stayed it probably would have been better to have our room further away. The owners and staff were friendly.

Stay end of April for two nights. Great people and Craic. Great location for everything. Really worth every Euro. Do it go there great town and friendly staff. People of Castlebar are warm and friendly.

Excellent food, friendly staff and a very pleasant atmosphere. I haven't stayed there yet but I have been told that it is very pleasant and clean.

A big no no, don't know how this place stays open, turning away customers at 11am just because the chef was having a tizzy.
Replace the chef and teach the owners a bit of manners and for pity's sake do something with the rooms and menu.
Should be a great place but is let down by owners and staff who just don't give a sh-t when they have your money, "which you pay in full up front".
SAYS IT ALL.

AVOID THIS PLACE.
It really makes me wonder how some people get into this trade and have no idea how a business works. When I walked in at 22.35 the guy who looked like the owner was drinking with another woman behind the bar it was like we interrupted them and we were an inconvenience as there was only one other guest at the bar. Ten minutes later we were told the bar is closing now drink up. He then walked back to the bar and turned off all the lights apart from behind the bar. We got the hint and walked out in some dim light and thankfully neither of us fell or it could have been a real awkward situation for the owner who seemed quiet drunk.
