Located outside the downtown of Kindle, this pub may be overlooked by most tourists besides the ones enroute to Charles Fort, but is a worthwhile place to go. It has a very cozy feel to it, and is well decorated with good views out the front windows. Depending on the time of day, parking and seating can be scarce. The food is very good, with a decent selection of local seafood.
Great stop for lunch! Limited seating. We sat outside on at a table that was literally on the road. Other people were sitting across the road and they were bringing food and drink out to them.
Love it. I always bring visitors here after I collect them from the airport. In summer it's thronged, on winter it's a perfect for a Christmas pint n front of the fire. No matter how busy, they are hospitality personified
It's a really lovely bar with a phenomenal view. The lunch menu has everything you could want and the standard is exceptional. The open crab meat sandwich is just delicious. I could easily eat here every day for a week.
Group of 35 of us went there and were catered for brilliantly. Food fabulous. Beautiful surroundings. Staff couldn't be more helpful. Highly recommend this place.
One of the best spots in Kinsale for food and a pint. Beautiful views and lovely atmosphere there. Highly recommend to anyone visiting.
I call the place to ask if is really pet friendly so that was the start of a outstanding service by phone very friendly staff answer and told me I would more than welcome with my lab Jasper ,we arrive at the place with great views ,inside the staff was very friendly and look after us very professional manner jasper was very welcome also and he behave very good ,I totally recommend from food to pet friendly
Best pub in the country. If the weather is bad sit by the fire and chill out. If the weather is good sit outside with a bottle of stonewell cider and chill.
Good food in a family friendly place. Lovely staff too. We go every time we are on Kinsale and it's our favorite place to go for lunch in the area. You will be waiting for a table on the weekends but it's worth it
We visited at lunchtime on a balmy January Saturday. The place was buzzing and we were told there would be a ten minute wait. A table soon became available and we were seated at a spacious table with a sea view. My wife had the crab open sandwich and I had tuna with wasabi mash. We ordered fries as a side. Everything was delicious. As good and enjoyable a meal as I've eaten in ages. Really good quality fresh food cooked simply. Not cheap - fifty euro for the above food with a pint for me and a glass of wine for her nibs - but excellent value for the quality of the fare, ambience and service.
