Absolutely superb meal. Fine dining at its best. Thoroughly recommend the restaurant. The hotel is beautifully presented having been refurbished and reopened recently.

We recently stayed two nights in the Beara Coast hotel, Castletownbere. The grounds are plain on the outside but really clean and modern on the inside. We had a friendly and speedy check-in. Our room had an amazing view of the harbour. Staff were local so gave us lots of local information and they could not do enough for us. The food is excellent and we want to mention the fabulous sea food chowder. The most delicious breakfast we have ever eaten in a hotel. The library is a little gem with a bit of paradise. We walked around the village and had a drink in McCarthy’s Bar. The Dursey island cable car is a must but Councillors take note the access road badly needs widening. This is a beautiful hotel with friendly staff in a stunning location.

Fabulous Restaurant. Caters for allergies and vegetarians! Whipped up a gluten free and vegetarian dish to accommodate specific needs. Really good fresh real cocktails. Desert was amazing. Must stop for dinner.

Plain enough on outside but really clean and quite modern inside.Staff couldn't do enough and were always helpful and friendly..Also,staff were local so could give you buckets of info on things in the area,as good as having your own tour guide..The beds were really comfortable too..But the jewel in the crown was the great food, well worth a visit whether you stay there or just drop in for food. The views from our room were amazing too..Will definitely come back!
