Never disappointed. Beautiful place, great service, great food. Lovely staff.
The best meal i have had in a very long time, steak was superb , service was excellent and reasonably priced.
Highly recommend this place .
Great atmosphere, great food particularly the biggest and best steak I've ever eaten. Fantastic value for money.
Good staff & tasty food. Have eaten here a few times & always very happy with the food & service. Great selection of spirits & cocktails available too.
Good old fashioned Irish pub, warm welcome and friendly staff. Reasonably priced rooms basic but comfortable. Good selection of food on the menu and the steaks are huge. Tender local beef of the best quality cooked how you want it. Carvery at lunchtime offers a good selection too. Craft beers in the bottle and draught on tap. Can organise fishing trips as you might expect from the pub's name. Worth a visit.
Friendly staff lovely pub excellent food and service
Great service, served with a smile and genuinely nice staff. Food very good and decent sized helpings, average prices. Ladies toilets were very clean. Background music pleasant and not too loud. Beautifully designed wooden interior, with lots of interesting objects to keep the eyes occupied.
I'm assuming this was just one of them times were all the bad things happen at once, but the food we got was cold and didn't taste very nice at all, and my pint was flat. The reason I'm still giving 3 stars is because it is a very nice bar inside and the staff were nice and apologetic about the situation and also offered us alternatives
Excellent service, very friendly. Our family of 5 enjoyed the Sunday lunch.
Went to get some food here on Xmas eve. When we were shown to our table I asked if we could sit somewhere else as we were surrounded by a group of about 20 people having dinner including children running around. I didn't think it would be an issue moving table as the bar was mostly empty. The one staff member that was on was extremely rude and arrogant and told us that this was the only table for two they had. I asked about the several empty tables away from the group but was told they were set for four people and that he was expecting a busy night. It was 7:30 on Xmas eve so I asked him if was he expecting the bar to be full in the time it would take for us to eat food. He just replied that this was the only table set for two and that he was expecting a very busy night. We left and went to the Italian across the road, which was lovely. Such a shame as Ballyconnel is such a small town and you would imagine they would be happy for the business. As we were leaving I pointed out to the staff member a couple eating at a table for four and was told he was not serving me. Unless they change their attitude I wouldn't be going back again and I'd advise others not to either.
