Vi stayed for a week holiday at the Riverside Park Hotel at Enniscorthy, June 2016 and enjoyed a couple of times having dinner at the Alamo Restaurant. One should book a table for evening dinner even though as hotel guests since this place is quite popular specially during weekends. Good food specially steaks.

Service was quite slow - especially for what seemed a quiet evening. Otherwise the food was excellent,

Don't be put off by the Tex Mex themeit's not all burritos and tacos! (although you'll definitely get them too) Bright and friendly, pleasant staff, wide and varying menus and family friendly. Really good desserts too. In nice riverside location - good for walking off dinner after!

I have visited this restaurant on serveral occasions and I always receive terrible service. This occasion was no different. Both my parents enjoy dining here so when I am home I treat them. After been sat we waited over 15mins for a waitress to take our order and since no drinks menu was given another 10minutes was lost as the waitress went searching for one! As the Almo is placed in a wonderful hotel I persumed I could order a bottle of sparkling wine/champagne but I persumed wrong. Only wine available was red or white. I asked for a sweet white wine recommendations and was served "our most popular wine", which was very dry. I ordered a half bottle of chardonnay and just in time stopped a different waitress from topping up my dry white wine glass. Another glass was requested! When our food arrived my parents were happy with their choice but did find their food a little tepid. I said shall we complain but we decided not to as we waited long enough but I had to ask for a side dish which was missing. We waited with dirty plates in front of us for at least 10mins before a different waitress asked what desserts we would like. I asked for our table to be cleared, a dessert menu & a small bowl of ice cream for my daughter. Half the table was cleared and bowl of ice cream with no cultery placed down. When waitress was passing I asked for a teaspoon for my 3 year old I was given a large dessert spoon. I asked again for teaspoon and was told "teaspoons are like gold dust around here". I said this was a hotel there must be a teaspoon somewhere! 5mins later waitress returned with one she had washed herself. Childs' ice cream was now melted! We declined desserts hoping for coffee but got our bill instead. After waiting for someone to collect our money I done what everyone else was doing and went with my bill to hostess desk. When asked was everything ok I said no the service was appalling and was told this was the trainee waitress fault. For a supervisor to pass on the blame angered me so no tip was given. I left muttering I would never be back again until service improved.

Great food and even better staff. I have eaten here on a few occasions with and without kids and I have always found the food and service to be top notch. Highly recommended
