Arrived here at the end of a wet day walking the Sligo Way. Just stayed for a couple of beers and a chat with the landlord. Characterful bar - well worth a visit.
Fab old pub and tea rooms Very welcoming family run pub
We had a lovely lunch two beautiful fresh salads delicious cakes and lovely surrounding outside. Would recommend the tea rooms highly
My husband and myself stopped in 2014 when travelling around Ireland for a month. It was such a quaint, pretty, old and quaint Pub. The Proprietor was very friendly and we had a delicious light lunch and a pot of Irish tea. It was a beautiful place and pub to stop at for a visit and a restup. Loved it!!!
The most wonderful pub of my life! It was like being in Bree at the Prancing Pony! !! Love It.
After walking the last section of The Sligo Way I arrived at Stanford's pub in Dromahair. It was a Monday in March 2016 and I had rang the day before to check they would be open. As soon as I asked for a pint the barman recognized my voice from the phone call and the chat began. Great little snug bar full of knick-knacks and old photo's, friendly barman and great Guinness. Collected by the wife and driven home tired and happy..
Great old style country pub.
The two staff that are usually working are siblings.
Sound bunch so they are.
You usually find some of the local country folk in here, some of the artsy people and some tourists.
Its a great mix.
There are a few screens for watching the match.
They open the back area for special events which are fantastic.
If your visiting Dromahair it's definitely worth a look.
Very welcoming.
