In October 2015, I stayed in this hospital for four days because I got diabetes type 1. The nurses took care of me and they were very helpful. Also the nurses were very nice and friendly. My specialist gave me a advice and she told me that I must take an insulin before breakfast, lunch, dinner and bedtime. I really don't like hospitals but I am very brave.

I attend here as an outpatient monthly and the system they have in place is great. Very organised and everything all in the same area. The outpatient clinics are run well and specialist departments have lovely staff and are quick. I can't fault the staff in any way.
Lovely cafe and restaurant in the main lobby and ATM ,shop etc just down the corridor.
The only complaint I have is that the parking is ridiculously expensive your talking €9 from about 8:30am to approx 2pm when I leave!

Not the cool place to be in. I saw staff messing in the jobs, seems like no clear structure and organisation either. Thankful to all staff for help and care. Hope not to come back there.

I've spent many hours in St Vincent's. Some good some sad. But I can not fault the staff. They offer what I would consider the best medical facilities in Ireland. As a teaching hospital it is the central hub for many medical professionals. The backbone of the the care staff are the excellent nurses!!

A large campus where both the public and private hospital is located. A&E tends to be busy and while admission is usually fast the wait on a trolley tends to be hours. The private hospital is clean and bright with nice rooms for patients. Pay parking is available across from the public hospital and under the private hospital.

Had recent excellent experience there: A&E was very busy but well organised and I was seen by doctor and specialist consultat within a few hours. Had bloods and X-rays taken quickly and specialist surgery about 6 hours after I walked into A&E. Afterwards spent 5 nights there as an inpatient on St. Josephs ward and felt very well cared for. Staff was great: Consultants, nurses, catering and cleaning people- everybody. Room was clean, and the food not too bad for a hospital. While I can't really describe a stay in hospital as pleasant, it wasn't nearly as unpleasant as it could have been - thanks to the great people working there! If I ever have to go to hospital again this will be the one.

Mother was a patient here. Very clean with excellent staff but short staffed alot. Recieved good quality of care. Car park is to expensive, think it was €2.50 per hour

ER does not care about patients pains. I was there three times in 24 hours for the same problem, I was dismissed because they do not treat pains: they prescribed me just basic pills: paracetamol, diclofenac and diazepam. They were useless for me, that's why I had to return for the second time in 24 hours. The only alternative was to admit me in the department for an injection in the suffering joint, but they said they were too busy :(((
The doctors were all young too young?
As an added bonus they took 7 tentatives for an iv. Three of them tried, at the end they said the it was me because I do not drink enough! :((

Never, never again!!

Have to post this was in a&e this week and the place is an overcrowded mess. People lying in beds everywhere you couldn't get up or down corridors. People in side rooms ringing bells and not even being attended to. People in there for hours and not being given anything to eat. People looking to go to the toilet and being told to wait for ages and that's if they come back at all. Hope I never end up in there as you could be dead before you get seen to. Absolute shambles of a healthcare system. Staff are so busy they can't deal with the care of the people in there. You get better treatment going to a vet. Good luck to all who end up in there.

Very bad service. You have to wait a few hours to see an assistant and then another 5 hours to see The doctor. So stupid, you can die here. S.t hospital and service. (Reception îs stupid as well)

I waited 10 hours in a&e (8pm yesterday to 6am this morning) to see a doctor. I understand that a hospital is a busy place but the length of my wait was just ridiculous.
