We had our first child here, we paid €2000 for semi-private care and what we recieved for our money was nothing short of a scam, there was absolutely no advantage going 'private' vrs public and when anything went wrong we where sent to the public section of the hospital for treatment anyway and at least their the staff where polite, friendly and careing.
That is just the start of it when Emma went to give birth things went from bad to worse, with the exception of our mid-wife Marie (who was brilliant) the staff where rude, cold and in some cases down right snobby twords Emma, we also never got to meet the 'consulatant' team we paid for, and our 'private' room was literally a broom closet converted with 3 beds crammed into it.
have since had our second child in 'public' care and the experience has ben 100 million times better, spacious clean rooms a private labour sweet with everything you could want for on hand.
All of the staff from administration to all of the midwifes are warm and very welcoming. With my first child I had shoulder dystonia which was very unexpected. The staff in the delivery room and the NICU's midwifes made this scary time much more bearable. I highly recommend this hospital.
My wife died here and my 7 lb 7oz baby son on my 20th birthday when she was overdue. On the second of Sept. The regular doctor she saw was on holidays and the sub said "you not due for 3-4 weeks and never took her BP or weight. He destroyed many lives. My wife told me he was from the Pakistan region. In 1983 they treated people like cattle. I'm still hollow, wifeless and childless. Take extreme care. It's all about saving money not lives.
My wife had our three children here. The staff are amazing and the care is spectacular. The situation on our first child was pretty dire but the staff were fantastic and a very difficult situation was made bearable.
where it all began for me when i was introduced to this world v ery historic part of dublin
My wife was quite ill and needed an op at short notice. The process, once seen, was super. The staff were exceptionally professional and sensitive. Pleasantly surprised at how great the venue was.
I had my 4 babies there staff are very good and midwife's are brilliant..
Very bad service...there is an average waiting time of 3hours here.. Doesn't matter how critical your case is.
Well managed, good facilities.
Here at the moment .think my daughter is miscarriage. And still waiting to be seen after over 2 hours .it's a disgrace
Nice old hospital very busy but we'll managed
I was told i couldn't have a baby last year then told in January i could went back over 2 weeks ago that I would either need keyhole surgery or a fertility drug they played with my head I still can't get over it and all the while I'm pregnant the way they did that is crazy
