Went here for lunch to avoid the stupid Galway traffic. Wasn't disappointed. Had a really good chicken burger which would be a great meal even without the burger bun. Real nice staff too. Yep, I'll be there again..

Scotties does amazing burgers, wings, ribs and probably some other stuff but I can't think of how to find out what anything else there tastes like get the wings and a burger already.

Took our son and his girlfriend back to Galway yesterday and they took us here for a late lunch. Very tasty, well cooked, great staff, great selection, altogether an excellent experience. Thoroughly recommend. Will definitely be back.

Friendly and efficient staff. Great location just outside of town, and comfortable surroundings. These are the positives.

First of all, the sweet potato fries and twisty fries were more than adequate. The rest, however - The chicken wings were fine in and of themselves, but the "blue cheese" dip tasted extremely synthetic, and I'm not sure there was any dairy involved in the slightest.The king prawns, (on special) were in a seasoned crispy batter. And served already covered in BBQ sauce. With a wedge of lemon. And garlic sour cream dip. Any one of these 4 seasonings would probably have been adequate, but my partner agreed that there literally could have been any kind of meat inside the batter, fish, fowl or mammal and it would have made scant difference.

OK, so we didn't have any red meat, and I'm sure their burgers are their specialty, but all around we were somewhat disappointed by our meal.

Again, staff we're helpful, courteous and efficient, we just weren't that enthused by the food.

This place is a true diner experience, really attentive great service, a chat if you want/ need it and the food is delicious. Highly recommended and it's an old school staple of Galway city. It's a little bit out of the city (15 min walk, 5 minute drive). Suitable for all!
