My wife and I love Cahersiveen and one of the place we love to go to eat, in fact ,must go to eat, is the Ring of Kerry. Don't know a thing about the hotel, but we absolutely love the restaurant. Everything we have ever had has been very good. The seafood chowder is off the chart and the fish and chips, so to speak, is much better than a lot of UK chip shops (Glasgow is the best, imho). A pint of Heineken or Carlsberg to start out and away we go. Really a great feed can be had here and you won't go broke, either. That is a great combo. Finally, the staff is uniformly very good, but we have a favorite. His name is Jackie and he has a voice which is well above an Irish whisper. He is fun to speak with. Sure, we are just another Irish-American couple who come around every year in the Sept/Oct, but it is great fun for us to encounter this guy, Jackie. He has the Kerry accent, of course, and the gift of gab and we enjoy seeing him and speaking with him. He makes us laugh and I can ever understand him since I got hearing aids. It is nice to hear him. I didn't know what he was saying these years. The good food, the pint of beer and Jackie make the Ring of Kerry a must do for us. BTW, we are not related to Jackie and have no stock in the restaurant.

Lovely hotel, very clean. Staff were beyond friendly and helpful. Food is fantastic here, salt and pepper calamari is divine.

The staff was very welcoming and accommodating!! Great views, and located near gas station and grocery store. The towels and blankets were clean, but seemed old/over used.

Arrived after 5 hours drive from kildare, tired and hungry. Within minutes my room was ready and a hot meal in front of me. Service was excellent. Room was very clean and well appointed with all the facilities you would expect. A very rewarding experience. Well worth the time/and priced very competitively. A very big thank you to all the staff.

I always stop here for lunch with my groups when I have the day at the Ring of kerry. Food is very good and prices are fair. Never had any complaint about the quality of the quantity of the food.
Try the seafood chowder It's the best!

Stopped here for lunch and had a good meal on a quick timeline. The seafood chowder was particularly good. The toasted ham and cheese was solid, but not remarkable.
