Great park to run, play soccer, go with kids, etc. I miss public toilets there, as cons

Ballincollig residents are so lucky to have an amenity such as this park. Great for walking, cycling, they have exercise machines, basketball and tennis courts. There is a skate park there also. Plenty of free parking and the riverside walk is very pleasant. At weekends there is a coffee truck on the site

One of the best recreational areas near Cork city.
Large playground for kids; exercise stations for adults located on one of the main trails. Park also has a marked 3km run.
Coffee and ice-cream outlets are available in the car park a number of days each week (at the weekend for sure).
Note: Parking is in high demand at this location. At the weekend, you need to arrive before 10AM to be sure of a space. Please park legally in the car park.response / report this review -

Great playground and walking area. Has a cute fairy trail and a river for the kids to throw rocks in. Great place to spend. Has a coffee, ice cream and crêpe cart on the parking lot

It's an absolutely fantastic amenity great playground.. Fairy trails Riverside walk exercise equipment. .. numerous playing pitches excellent parking visiting coffee vans rich in local history and an abundance of wildlife and nature at its best. The only problem l could possibly find with it is the distance one has to walk to get toilet facilities. .. maybe put a portable loo in the car park to facilitate people who may not be able to walk the ten minute trek to the toilet and indeed children as well?

What a fantastic place to go to unwind or bring the kids to play and enjoy themselves. For the little trill seekers there is a skate park just beyond the car park. Then as you delve further there is basketball courts, great playground consisting of climbing zones, swings, slides, zip wires etc. Then there is a huge plain of playing fields surrounded by a pathway intersecting the fields ideal for running, walks or bike or rollerblading. To the left of the main path exercising equipment is in place for the health minded. Latest addition a fairy trail which further sets off a great location for all the family to enjoy. Two catering vans in the car park to fill those hungry tummies from all the activities, drinks, crepes, snacks and ice cream. Carpark does get quiet busy although a large amount of parking on site is available. Recommendations to go early on weekends to avoid hastle of parking cues.

Nice for walking and bringing the kids too.plenty of stuff to keep them occupied,skate park,basketball court and playground.

The best park I've been to in Ireland so far. Well maintained with a lovely maze like walk through the woods. Has a small skatepark and loads of space to play ball sports.

We have bee living in Ballincollig for 4 years now.
We are blessed to have such a beautiful natural retreat so close to town.
The park has always been a pleasure to walk and do sports, but it is constantly been improved by the town workers.
Every winter there is a lot of work done, so now we have new cycling and walking paths, and a lot of the edges of the existing places have been cleared.
They did magnificent job in making the river walk safer and more accessible.
There is more places with benches to sit and relax and enjoy the beautiful surroundings.
The park is huge.
As far as I know, it is second biggest park in the country after Phoenix Park in Dublin.response / report this review
