Lovely park just minutes from the city centre .Plenty of seating and loads open green areas for kids to play on.Nice big play area too with swings/slides/monkey bars/rope bridges/seesaws/climbing frames/send out ideal for kids.Public toilets available ,security in site, museum/gallery /coffee shop all in one location.Had great family /social events here throughout the year and beautiful river walks/fountains/shrubbery/talk trees.Next to the famous "Shakey Bridge" a well known corkonian landmark :)

It is a lovely Park only down fall for me is playarea. Parents have to constantly follow kids to keep an eye on them thanks to the big wall.

This park is a great place to get away from it all anytime of the year with great scenery, nature in the heart of the city!! Also there is, toilet facilities, a café and its close to the local university (University College Cork) and is accessible by either walking distance to a bus service to town as well. Take bus number 8 from Patrick Street to get there as it's a treasure with it's pleasant riverside views as well. A definite must if you're in need of tranquility and wellness.

This is a wonderful park set alongside a flowing river with plenty of tall trees and a small cafe. There's a walk with a series of interesting sculptures and places for children to play, and little surprises to discover every here and there. Worth a trip to quiet the mind.

A lovely spacious park with a large playground. Nice river side walks and a cool amphitheatre which holds small gigs from time to time. It's also host to a number of events throughout the year and is a great venue on a nice day.

Beautiful river-side green area, a stones throw from the city centre. Great place for coffee, chats and chillout! Check out the museum, coffee shop, fountain, gardens, or evegrab an ice-cream on a sunny day! Great amenity for both locals and tourists alike.

Such a lovely park it has a nice cafe and the museum I take my son down a lot they have ducks in the pond a great playground for kids stunning flowers as well well recommended for all

Lovely park ! Has everything you could want, there's a massive playground, Immaculate rose garden, lovely fountain, and sculptures dotted around the park.
It's very Well kept, with regular redevelopment, there's a museum and great cafe.
Bit remote though, takes over 30mins to get there from the bus station !

A beautiful hidden place right in the city centre. Near enough to all necessary amenities that you can wander or picnic in comfort. Gorgeous views, lovely riverside walks and loads of interesting sculptures and historical sites. Worth a visit.
