Powell's is often referred to as The Four Corners and is a wonderfully unusual shop. Selling mainly music downstairs and crafts upstairs, it’s a pleasure to shop here. Music covers recorded, Steve mostly Irish traditional, and instruments, again mostly those used performing traditional music. Guitars expand into accessories for electric so you can buy a new ukulele, banjo or flute or an Orange amp or a plethora of tiny accessories. Even a few picks with sets of Irish picks available if you're looking for a souvenir. There’s a fine selection of harmonicas too.

The diversity jumps when you notice the walking get sticks, Zippo fluid, smoking pipes and such.

Upstairs is equally varied on the theme of art & craft with a useful selection of office supplies.

The only shop I know of that sells a pipe to smoke and a pipe to play! I have bought both smoking pipes and guitar equipment here. The staff are nice and very knowledgeable and prices are reasonable, especially for Peterson pipes which are often cheaper here than in Peterson's own website.
