  Sensitive restoration of an Elizabethan manor house originally built in 1565 for the Butler Earls of Ormond. Visitors can appreciate the significance of Ormond Castle through an informative guided tour. Restoration and interpretation of the site is a work in progress. The Heritage Service of the OPW plan to add an interpretive centre to give visitors further insights into this impressive historic sites. Highly recommended.

  walk back into the past. get the feel of cold and status of being a butler inside the rooms of ormonde. awesome tour staff.

  Well restored Tudor castle with passionate guides. Parking in short supply, better to park in the town and stroll down.

  Great tour guides. Had a lady who did our tour in English and also French for some tourists. Had to leave the tour early due to illness and they couldn't have been nicer. Would recommend.

  Recently refurbished. Smashing OPW attraction. Tour takes about 40 mins. Worth checking put if you a history buff
