  I've moved internationally 20+ times, and I've used Oman Beverly Smyth three times (twice 15 years ago, and once three months ago when I moved to Ireland). Unfortunately the latest experience was far and away my family's worst moving experience ever -- partly due to the moving company at origin, and partly due to Oman Beverly Smyth here in Ireland. To their credit -- they fixed things that they broke/were broken in transit, and provided a handyman to put difficult/tricky items together; the moving team was pleasant; and the actual moving process was tolerable. My main complaint: Days before delivery of my household goods, I was called on to cough up an additional EUR700 (as in: If you don't pay this now, storage fees will stack up and you'll have to pay even more) at short notice -- after already paying upwards of EUR15,000 for the entire move. (Think you're finished paying,, after you sign a contract and submit payment? Think again.) I've never had to pay demurrage fees, but with Oman Beverly Smyth, I did. (Yes, my contract stated that I might be hit with demurrae fees; strangely, this was the first time.) They pointed a finger at the moving firm in the country where I was coming from they blamed the Dublin port authorities they blamed Covid-19 they asked for credit for doing everything else right (yes, granted) but declined to take any other responsibility. I had a long call with the CEO -- very nice guy, clearly passionate about moving -- but I was still EUR700 poorer at the end of it (correction the moving firm at my origin coughed up one-third of the sum). Suffice to say, I will never -- ever -- use Oman Beverly Smyth again, and I'd urge you to think twice, or thrice, before you do.

  Used Oman-Beverly Smyth when shipped my property from Qatar to Dublin. Excellent customer care and good storage rates. Janet was a treasure. Kept me up to date from the day the container arrived in Dublin Docks. Thanks
