Busy and popular bar / restaurant with wonderful staff and service. Large deck at the rear with view of the harbour.

Beautiful bar and restaurant overlooking cleggan pier. Had 3 beautiful pints waiting for the bofin ferry. Food looked top class and will sample next time. Top class bar.

Lovely bar for locals and visitors. Great locally sourced seafood. Right next to the pier for inisbofin.

Very relaxed and friendly service. Beautiful views from the back. You may end up staying longer than you planned!

Food was good but a bit on the extensive side - e.g. they are charging 4.75€ for a child portion of plain pasta.

Been going to cleggan since I was 12 and the proprietor has never said hello or "welcome back" in 30 years. The food is ok and the location is good but the loyalty to regular visitors is poor. I'd recommend the pier bar for fabulous pizza and crab claws as an alternative.

We stayed there for 9 nights .because the website said it was peaceful .and upon doing research of the area. We found that there were many places that you can get to easily without driving .I drive for a living .and on holiday I don't want to drive. There was a regular bus to clifden galway and connemara national park .also your at the ferry base for iinnisbofin island .beautiful place .we enjoyed our stay . Didnt want to go home .and the food was out of this world .if you've never tried seafood but would like to .this is the place to do it.its so fresh . I couldn't prase the place any higher .but to top all that the welcome you receive by the proprietors is warming .you feel like part of a loving family .and the staff are bubbly and aim to please you .god bless them .came home completely chilled and would definitely go again .well done olivers . Sending love .The Traceys xxxxxxx

Food was okay. Nothing exceptional. Food came out at different times too. So one person eating, one person waiting. Lovely Spanish waitress (I think her name was Maria), managers not the nicest. Kind of narky in front of customers to staff.

Average food but very unfriendly waitress, therefore just 2 stars

Stopped in for lunch on a grey, breezy day with my wife and kids after spending the days walking about the area. My wife had the seafood chowder and will use that as her reference for how a chowder should be for the rest of her days. I had the Irish stew which was very tasty. Would absolutely visit again when in the area.

Now that I know (from their website,) that they have overnight accommodations, we'll look to stay here next visit to Connemara.
