Niall is a very conscientious worker and arrived promptly to give a quote for the necessary repairs to my roof. He did very good repair pointing to the ridge tiles and replaced some broken tiles. He was reasonably priced and is a trustworthy roofer with years of experience in Galway.

Niall did a terrific job for my aged parents. We were caught with an awful leaking roof over the garage and utility room. The water was tipping in and the ceiling was bowed with the amount of it.
Niall was very professional. He was punctual and assessed the job thoroughly. In his detailed quote he outlined exactly what the job entailed, including the materials.
The work was carried out in a very timely manner and the workmanship is top class. My parents are very happy with the job and relieved to have it done so well.
I can wholeheartedly recommend Niall to anyone considering getting any roofing work done. It's great to hire someone who takes such pride and care in their work.response / report this review -

I have NO difficulty giving Niall the complete FIVE STAR rating! The real professional is the best way I can describe my experience with him! He replaced a large velux in my attic with minimum fuss or disruption. He contacted me when he said he would, arrived to do the work when he said he would, charged what he said he would and was most helpful at all times! I reckon that says it all!!!!!

I have recently contracted Niall for a complete roof rebuild on a traditional Irish Cottage. The work comprised the dismantling of the old roof and chimney, the installation of a steel reinforced ring beam around the house, rebuild of the chimney and construction of a new traditional roof with proper insulation build-up and three velux-windows. As I was living abroad during the time of the rebuild, communication was one of the key issues. Niall impressed me not only with his professional skills, but also with his great communication, sending me upates with pictures nearly on a daily basis, giving me peace of mind over all the construction period. His quote was not the cheapest, but his quality of work and communication outweighed the higher price, and the result is just awesome. Thank you Niall!

Niall did excellent work for me in July 2017 which included replacing a velux window, repairing a section of roof, replacing tiles and some rope access work. Niall takes pride in his work, he ensured that we were happy, price agreed upfront with no surprises during works, he came when he said he was going to come. I would 100% recommend Niall for any roof works and only wish that other tradesmen worked as professionally.

Niall recently installed a Velux Cabrio balcony window in our home. We had a very positive experience and are very pleased with the outcome. I have to say Niall McDonagh was very professional and reliable roofer. Recently, he replaced the lead in the valley of my roof as there was a slight leak during heavy rain. I found him on google and after reading other reviews I decided to contact him for the quotation. He checked the roof and provided a breakdown of work that needs to be

I engaged Niall to undertake a major chimney rebuild.I am based in Dublin so I could not be on site so it was necessary to manage the repairs by phone emails & photos. Niall's attention to detail ,his expertise & feedback is extremely professional.He did a superb job, on budget and on time. I could not recommend him highly enough.

After seeing Niall Mc Donagh's Carpentry and Roofing Services van in my local village I asked him to inspect my roof as I wanted to ensure there was no issues with my chimney. I found his level of expertise in the area most helpful and valued his opinion. He noticed some tiles were also cracked on the roof and replaced these for me quick and efficiently. I found him extremely professional and he went about his work using the very best safety standards which gave me peace of mind. I would have no problem recommending Niall and am sure I will be using his services again in the future if the need ever arises.

I contacted Niall following a Google search and took the chance in engaging him to undertake some roof and chimney repairs solely on the basis of the reviews made by previous clients. Whilst, I initially thought his quote was expensive, I was very satisfied with professional service provided and the safe manner by which Niall conducted his work given the nature of the work required. I have the peace of mind that the repairs were professionally done this time and hopefully no repeat repair will be required unlike before. I have no hesitation in recommending him and will certainly engage him again should the need arise.

I found out about Niall McDonagh carpentry and roofing services through a Google search. He is an absolute professional. From first contact to completion of the job today his assessment of the work needed, scheduling of the work and communication have been exceptional. He explained everything that needed to be done from start to finish. He provided me with a date and time for the job and was true to his word. Fantastic experience. I highly recommend him.
