  Lovely staff, accommodating of large groups, nice food. There was a large group doing overnight training and they were incredibly accommodating and helpful. It's also very close to Newgrange if looking to visit.

  When I first arrived at Newgrange Lodge I actually wondered what exactly was the reason I had booked here as there were a multitude of children staying for a weekend of learning. The carpark was full as was the Lodge. This all changed when the staff immediately came to my assistance and gave me options of the different areas, belonging to the Lodge, where I could stay in my campervan. From there everything just became so fantastic. I was able to stay in a quiet place, enjoyed the very many walks and sites to visit and all this was information given by the staff. The Lodge is lovely..very clean, accessible to a variety of things to see and do and in a lovely part of the country. Would definitely recommend and I wish to thank the staff so much..   I leave a lot of reviews on Tripadvisor when traveling the world, and I'm pretty generous, easy to please, and quick to praise. This property deserves to be called out, so beware. After booking this several months ago, my family of 5 showed up after traveling for hours, and I presented my travel reservation. They told me it wasn't possible to stay, the property was booked for a private party (wedding). They also claimed to have emailed me 2 weeks ago with an alternative booking. No record anywhere, not in spam, trash, or regular inbox. They also claimed to have re-booked us 25 minutes further north (away from where we were headed and not where I would've chosen to go, very presumptuous.) We arrived at that property to find that the owner had NO record of the move either, and had another family arrive before us in the same boat. She also relayed Newgrange Lodge bumps guests out if they get a more lucrative wedding booking and she had a heated phone conversation with them to find out more were headed her way that she had no room for. UNBELIEVABLE lack of integrity and honor. The owner of the new property was very frustrated and just happened to have one space left to put us in, but nothing was cleaned or made up. If she hadn't happened to have it, our family of 5 would've been unable to find anything in the region late in the evening because it's high season. This is terrible treatment of guests, and completely unacceptable. I've traveled the world, I have never had an experience like this. Some things are just wrong in the hospitality business, and it was obvious they bumped a number of people out to move a wedding in for more money, but never followed through with the bookings or communication with guests or alternative lodgings. LOOK FOR OTHER OPTIONS.

  Stayed here for 1 night. Place was very clean and staff friendly. Breakfast was plentiful. The only thing is the walls are very thin and we were woken at 5am by the people next door. They must have been leaving early. We could here them talking and walking about. Also they were bangings doors. They should have had consideration for other guests. This would put me off going back

  Camped here in early July. Had a fine view of Newgrange tomb from our pitch! One of only three tents at the campsite, communal facilities were good and we had the use of the lounge in the main building which was very comfortable.

  Loved the hotel. Everyone was very nice and helpful. Loved the outdoor seating where we sat for a beverage in the evening while other guests played guitar. Loved it!

  + benches & tables around the kitchen

  Nice place, just the right distance from the city to be quiet and peaceful but still close enough to get to the city with no problems.

  Best choice if you want to get to Newgrange first thing. (Which you do). We paid €59 for a double and was the best value in the area. Continental breakfast. Clean, modern, comfortable, and friendly, I even got a free beer for my birthday! Great bar 5 min drive away.
