Very accommodating staff for an american football game watch. Pretty quiet until around 12:30am, when the dance floor became packed.

The Prawn Risotto is divine. Great service, fast and friendly :) Very cosy atmosphere for a meal. The bar is good fun late at night also!

The decor of the bar is lovely and food is also great.
The big thing is this bar is always full of foreign students ( usually Brazilian and Spanish ) and the DJ would often play Brazilian music.
If you're into that kind of thing, then visit, if it wrecks your head, there are better bars in Galwayresponse / report this review -

Great food, and a change from traditional Irish pub fare. Affordable gourmet burgers and pizzas. Early bird specials for 10 euros between 5 and 7pm.

Massimo describes itself as a gasto pub. Adding urban style decor and a youthful vibe gives a feel for the ambience.
The food at Massimo is a treat that's hard to do justice to in a review. There's a great range from meats through chicken and fish to vegetarian and some vegan dishes. Most recently I had the chickpea and coriander burger which was delicious. The pizzas look like they're made in a pizza oven and are certainly tasty. Don't overlook the fries. The innocuous sounding chips are about as good as they get. Home made pickles make a difference nice shared starter.
Overall, we enjoy eating at Massimo's, the food is great and top quality.response / report this review
