I was at a training course in this hotel today. The staff in the restaurant & breakfast area were very rude! I was left standing for over 10 minutes waiting to pay for my cup of tea.. In the end I had to go ask the young man to stop cleaning tables & come to serve me. The bar staff was a woman who was also very rude & unpleasant. I have no experience in staying over here. I spent only 6 hours in the hotel which is beautiful.. However the staff definitely let's it down A bit of niceness goes a very long way!!!

Do not stay here. The rooms are extremely hot. I was awakened by the heat and I opened the window but all you can hearing is the rowing wind. So I can not go back to sleep. We arrived late last night after plane delays and car rental process so we could use some much needed sleep. I'm waiting for daylight to ask to check out.
My toothpaste was taken at the airport and I went to the front desk last night to ask them for a complimentary one and was told they didn't have any and that I had to use a vending machine that only uses cash. I asked to speak to a manager to see if he could help me but he was very condescending and rude. I told him that I was from the U.K. and didn't have any euros on me and that I only had pounds and dollars and the manager's response was, why? You didn't think you needed it?" There is no ATM on site and there is not one at a walking distance especially for that time of the night, closed to midnight. I even offered to have it included in my bill so I could use the vending machine but to no avail. I believe as a manager, you can say no to someone but the words you use to say no can be detrimental or friendly even though the end result is no. His words made me feel belittled.
They have carpets in their hallways and rooms. The carpets are visible soiled and filthy. I'm currently here in this hotel in room 313 and to me, first impression is lasting impression. I'll never stay in this hotel on any further trips I take to Dublin or any other Maldron hotel chain. I am awake writing this review when I'm supposed to be sleeping as we have a long day ahead of us. If they had a 0 score, this is what this hotel deserves. I'm usually not that difficult to please, but the manager put a very bad taste in my mouth for this hotel.

Stayed here for one night with my daughter. Reception lady staff very professional and welcoming (apologies I wasn't able to take her name). She directed us to where our room is, where breakfast was to be served in the morning. I asked if we could avail a late check-out for the following morning I was informed that I could and did not charged me for it. The room clean and good size. Went for a swim. Good size pool for the adult and for kids. Jacuzzi and sauna available too. Secure locker rooms you just need to deposit €5 for a key locker to stowe away your stuff securely. For breakfast they have a good selection of meats, cereals, fresh fruits, hot and cold drinks.

You get what you pay for. Very reasonable price but basic rooms. Rooms are a good size and beds comfortable but the TV is tiny, toiletries are a squeeze bottle fixed to the wall. Basic fittings. No air conditioning just a very noisy radiator. Some road noise in rooms at the front.

Stayed here for 3 nights with my partner. We were welcomed with a smile and from there on in it was a great stay!
The rooms are exceptional. Everything you could need.
The beds are super comfortable and the rooms are quiet thanks to sound dampening.
The bar staff where very accommodating and the food selection at the Grill has something for everyone.
It's just at the end of the luas red line so easy access to the city center.
With a shopping centre nearby anything you forgot or need is only a 2min walk.
Will be staying here again if I ever go to Dublin. :)

location fair and parking adequate/ staff pleasant but room below par. Room extremely hot and no need for heat at this time of year. as well all hotel room doors seem to slam with a loud bang when closing. It really would be a simple matter to fix with a felt pad on inside of door frame. PITY

Overall the hotel was lovely and the room was of a very high standard. Breakfast was good but could have had more interaction from staff. One thing that will reflect very badly is the heat in the room. We stayed in room 514. As it was glass the whole way around the heat in the room was unbearable. We could only open 1 tiny window and there was no air con. As a result I had a extremely bad migraine the next day. I did mention it to reception when we checked out but got no real satisfaction.

They will steal your MONEY! DO not book. Worst Customer service I've ever experienced. I booked this 3 months in advance. 2 months before my trip was due I had to cancel my trip. Per the email I received I was able to cancel at any time or 48 hours up to my stay.
I emailed them asking to cancel and apparently because I had some "early saver deal" I was not eligible to cancel my bookings. Even though it was 2 months prior. They would not work with me and would not help me fix this problem. Instead insinuated that it was my problem and they would not help me. - I asked them if they had some cancellation fee, 30, 40 or even 50% of the booking costs and they said no. They would keep all my money. This was hundreds and hundreds of dollarsin this day and age, not cool that they were unwilling to work with me and keep my money.response / report this review
