Good room, free parking, 12.00 checkout. Hotel is well maintained and comfortable. Staff are friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good but bacon and sausage need improvement
Stayed in the Maldron on Saturday night 9/9/17 with my partner. Lovely welcome at reception, very spacious, clean, comfortable room. Breakfast very good. Overall a really good experience. Will definitely stay again.
Couldn't complain about overall visit. Just one "thumbs down" thing. On arrival we were told dinner was served from 18.00 - 21.45, this was accurate for Friday and Saturday nights. Unfortunately, when collecting dinner voucher for Sunday night, we were not informed that service ended at 20.45 and as a result missed the meal. Receptionist was extremely accommodating though, offered to have sandwiches made up - a gesture we greatly appreciated. Overall out stay was very pleasant indeed and will be back next time we visit Limerick.
The hotel itself was well kept on the outside and inside. The room wasn't very clean however, and the floor tiles in the bathroom were very loose and coming out of the ground. Bedding was not changed at all throughout our stay and apparently even before we arrived it was not changed as there was a stain on our bedding throughout the whole time there. Staff however was very friendly. We did pay for breakfast one morning and it was not worth the €12 price.
We stayed in a family room and there was plenty of space for four. The room was comfortable. We made use of the swimming pool and it was great for the kids. The breakfast had a nice selection for a family. The only negative about the hotel is that it is located in a low class area so make use of the hotels underground parking. The staff are excellent and very friendly. Overall a great stay.
Checking in a little bit delayed, they said we would wait an hour before accessing the room, there reason given was that the room was occupied the previous night, and as it was a family room, it was large to clean and tidy up. Every other things was perfect. The swimming pool is 20 m long though not deep( 1.20m). Professional stuff but the reception communicate in East Europe languages with their colleagues which is not comfortable for a customer standing on front of the desk, they may be talking about you. I would definitely recommend. Great break. Great price deal.
Ok as a stop over hotel, very basic rooms. Though bring your own conditioner as only shampoo provided.
Breakfast was good though, and staff were pleasant.
It was quite obvious the room wasn't hovered before my stay. The stem of bunch of grapes was on the floor and little stones. At breakfast, there were no scrambled eggs left, just the very dried yellow leftovers. I asked if there were more, and instead of changing the tray, and simply slotting in the new tray with the new eggs in it, the waitress just threw the new eggs on top of the dried yellow leftovers. I've stayed here before, on a business trip, restaurant food is good, good choice of foods and accommodating waiting staff. Receptionists were all lovely and professional. Just let down with the room this time.
I was after driving four and a half hours from donegal to stay at the hotel. The girl at check in was friendly and efficient. I was very tired and went to my room to rest for a while but the hallway was warmer than the room, my room was cold as the radiator was turned off. I turned on the radiator and went for dinner while I waited for it to warm up. The dinner was nice and the service good and swift. The breakfast selection was good but the sausages were cold even though I was there shortly after breakfast begun. The availability of disposable cups for take away coffee os a nice idea. Hotel is clean and comfortable otherwise. Attention to detail requires some thought.
Very spacious rooms with clean, comfortable beds, and balconies overlooking a beautiful courtyard. Within an easy 20 - 30 minute walking distance of the city centre of Limerick with good shopping, excellent restaurants, and the amazing Milk Market. Friendly staff and service. Only complaint is that the lighting in the bathroom was very poor and made primping in the mornings a pain to do.
We found our hotel room clean and tidy, all facilities were good. Gym and pool was great, staff friendly and helpful. We ate in the evening time in the bar, and food was terrible. Potatoes re-heats, could not eat, chips not cooked, steak red. Even the service was not great in the bar. Table was dirty and glass very dirty. Breakfast the next morning was very good, staff friendly and food very good. It was just the evening meal and we ate here last Nov and it was great. Did they change the chef?
