You can't visit the castle. Only the gardens. It's worthless paying to see a garden

The gardens are absolutely wonderful! We were there mid July, and had the most summery weather. If you like gardens, this one is definitely recommended. There's also an art gallery that's freely accessible, but unfortunately the castle itself isn't open to the public. There is a cafe, though, in the art gallery section with glutenfree cake! Unfortunately no dairy free cake. There might also be some picnic blankets if you're lucky! Just pick a spot in the garden and lie down, enjoy your surroundings.

Have been to the gardens a few times.
    It is a lovely place.
Free parking is on the left of the entrance to the castle.
There is an entrance fee to the gardens.

Stunning gardens. Really well kept. A lovely walk. Got chatting to the gardeners who were very helpful and friendly. They're growing loads of fruit, veg and herbs for the residents of the castle. The cafe is small but we sat out in gardens. Lovely day out, well two hours or so. I'd recommended it.
