Fantastic wild and remote area, took the shorter trail back after dining at lough avoher hut.
Beautiful well marked nature trail. We walked (part) of the blue/green trail (the shortest). Downside was that upon turning right, at the parting of the trails, we were overwhelmed by gad-flies. They were all over us. This was mid July on a sunny day. Eventually turned back to the river to avoid them and walked back.
With no doubt one of the most beautiful places in Ireland!
Fabulous walking in Wild Nephin from this spot.
Very messy but good fun. 3 routes to choose from with amazing scenery along the way. Bring spare clothes and good hiking boots especially if you walk the firebreak along the blue loop.
Beautiful, but you end up with wet and muddy feet : plan accordingly
Fantastic , remote, well marked and maintain trail
Beautiful trail, definitely worth walking.
