Nice little restaurant with a cosy interior section and 'conservatory' type section at the front. The service was lovely.

The place is fantastic and the scenery makes up for a few lacks like the general cleanliness of the room service. The bar and restaurant food is fantastic and of great freshness and taste. The communal spaces within the hotel are very welcoming, confident and homely. Overall a great experience.

One of my favourite hotels. Fabulous seaweed baths. Big comfortable quaint guest lounge with a roaring fire. Great friendly staff. Great food. Best choice for walkers and cyclists

Great lunch! This wonderfully located hotel has that lovely slightly faded air of former grandeur. I've had great seafood chowder and freshly fried fish - both delicious

Beautiful location. Friendly staff. Food excellent. Good overall value and positive experience. I would gladly return.

Some serving staff could do with some Basic training.

Clean, clear and fine restaurant. Good place to eat.
Handled a lactose allergy well. "No we don't have sauce" is an better answer "I guess you could.."

Loved this hotel. Had lunch here.. highly recommend mussels and brown bread. Fantastic setting overlooking the lake just outside the village made famous by Richard Harris and "the field" movie.

Visit her every year with the Bmw motorcycle club. The hotel is very welcoming and look after us very well. With great food and a scenic location I would recommend.

Lovely location, lovely decor, lovely atmosphere some staff clearly didn't know what there role was in the hotel cups and cutlery were filthy on the first morning for breakfast ask 3 times to change milk on the table because there was dirt in it and the jug was filthy and 3 times we got back more dirty milk in the same 'uncleaned' jug which in every way is completely Unacceptable Over priced for what it is costing for 1 night with breakfast for a couple of people €135 which is disgraceful, but it has a charm that does lend itself to helping you give the place the benefit of the doubt. I would strongly recommend that they train there staff better and make sure they are performing there duties properly.. i would give it another chance definitely if not for the hotel then just for the scenary alone its a beautiful beautiful place.
