Hotel is very good, service is outstanding. We got a special deal and found it to be a great place. It is a very large hotel but spotless throughout. The food is excellent, well recommended. All in all very pleasant.

Quaint, calm and relaxing. Beautiful hotel overall. Has an upscale but rustic feel to it. Scenery around the grounds is breathtakingly beautiful. Staff are among some of the most polite and friendliest I've ever come across in a hotel. Nice pub, huge function rooms, spacious bedrooms. The only downfall here is the layout of the hotel is a manufactured maze. To get to my room I needed to get a lift up, walk to another lift, to go back down. The gym and spa area are in a seperate building too which I can imagine is a nightmare for rainy days and nights when you just want to get back to your room. Overall however, most definitely worth the stay!

Not advised for small kids. No kids club. Toddler pool is 2ft deep, no shallow end. High chairs were always filthy. Staff are young and inexperienced. No personal touch. Very expensive. Not value for money.

Nice hotel,think it's a four star. Had a meal there twice recently. Good choice on menu but lighting in the dining room was a bit dull so menu was hard to read . A bit of a delay in presenting the ordered dished even though they were not complicated.Dishes were well worth waiting for.Excellent food.The Dining room is a bit open so,it felt like we were in a school canteen. Didn't like that.And it took away somewhat from what otherwise could have been a very pleasant experience.But don't eat here if you're in a hurry.

Wedding planning and staff excellent, food excellent, however reception staff let the overall hotel down from our experience.

reception wanted us to pay for a double booking, however it was only from wedding staff that we did not need to pay, and the clerical error was on the side of the reception staff.

A very lovely family friendly hotel. Great food, friendly staff, super pool and sauna and beautiful surrounding grounds. A very enjoyable stay.

Afternoon tea was lovely, lots of food in a beautiful setting. The scones with lemon curd and home made ferrero rochet were highlights! On another occasion the bar food wasn't the best. A beautiful place to stay with a fantastic, although slightly pricey, spa.

Very good service, lovely food, good pint. This is a converted convent school with very nice grounds. Butterfly garden and nicely finished gardens with lots of sitting areas combined with peace and quiet make this a particularly enjoyable place to stay.

Good rate for our stay. Bar prices and food service is excellent which increased my rating. Spa and pool etc is good. Masseuse was excellent. Rooms need greater care. Some holes in the pillows, cushions and bedding. Mattress a little stiff. Bathroom needed a little maintenance. Staff are lovely. Breakfast was early and very very good.

Truly beautiful, this is an amazing hotel with a fantastic bar, restaurant and conservatory for having afternoon tea. It's a 5* joint and everything is 5* about it. Highly recommended

My mum and I have just spent two great days here just perfect. Food great staff great and hotel super a special mention to Liam in the bistro a perfect host and a great ambassador for all of the staff in the hotel they are all great. We I'll be back. 😊

Was there for a wedding so i didn't have much exposure to the hotel itself; so most of this review is about staff, bar and food only. The staff were great and the food was nice. My main problem was the bar - no Budweiser on tap in the main bar. The function room had the tap but it was dry. That's the only issue, which i know is small, but i have very limited exposure to the hotel to work with (and i consider Budweiser to be a fairly basic tap to have).

Beautiful hotel - the rooms are nice, the LED lights really mute the great mood, but I understand the need to save costs and be competitive in a hard marketplace. The food was exquisite, the staff as well, the pool looked great in pictures but was way too loud to be relaxing in any regard, which was quite disappointing for both myself and my partner. Breakfast is a rush from 930-1000 so get there early. Overall a solid 4.5 out of 5, would definitely visit again.
