Been goin to Scanlons for years. All the staff are very friendly & helpful and have saved me a fortune in comparison to quotes from other garages. I’ve learned a lot from them over the years as John always takes the time to explain exactly what he’s doing. Can’t recommend them highly enough

Get ready to get robbed if you use this garage. They damage parts of your car and claim that the damage was done when you brought the car in. They told me that the threads holding the breaks on were ripped out and I needed new breaks and calipers. If the threads were ripped out the calipers would have fallen off the car. They charged me for new pads four months ago and today I had to get new pads on my car. They use second hand parts and charge you for new parts. Also look at whos leaving all the good reviews, its not customers. The only question is do I go to the garda and make a fraud complaint?

Left my car in for repair with a suspected blown turbo. Was told they had hooked it up to the computer and that the engine had blown and quoted 2-3k for a new engine. Said that I'd collect it, and was discouraged from doing so.

After 6 or so weeks I just turned up with a jeep and car trailer to move the car. Was charged 40euro for the diagnostics before they'd give me the keys.

Whilst loading the car, we were threatened by the autopaint body repair guy, who could clearly see what we were trying to do for blocking the gate momentarily.

Brought the car to a different mechanic who confirmed that only the turbo had gone. Nothing wrong with the engine whatsoever. So the 40 euro on the diagnostic was worth every penny. 400 euro to repair in the end.

On the whole, these guys are very shady imo. Would not recommend.

Car broke down at 11pm on a Saturday night. On a friends recommendation called John Scanlon auto repairs , who answered the call, and sent 2 mechanics out within the hour. Got us going within 20 minutes, and charged very reasonably. Would highly recommend.
