  Had a very unpleasant experience here because we had our coats on the chair with us while dinning my sleeve of my coat got burnt by a candle that was on a lower shelf management were of no help and were quite rude. This restaurant should offer cloakroom facilities

  Nice place, authentic feel. I am not huge fan of pasta, but their snacks are awesome! On the negative side - they don't have beer on draft, only small bottles of Peroni

  Best restaurant in Cork. Camal is such a great host. Food and service are both 10/10. Great menu and huge choice. If you visit Cork, this place is a must.

  My wife & I were in Ireland for our honeymoon as part of a coach tour. On the Saturday night of the tour, we were on our own for food. We found Il Padrino thanks to Google Maps. It was close to our hotel & we were tired, so the very short walk was appreciated.
  
  When we got there, the chap at the door told us they were booked & smiled as us thinking we could walk-in off the street without a reservation. Once I told him we were on our honeymoon, they were beyond lovely at squeezing us in. A reservation canceled & we were seated next to the kitchen.
  
  To say every course was an orgasm for our mouthes would not be an understatement. Garlic bread with cheese, out of this world. Ravioli Toscanimind blowing. Lasagne Al Pollobeyond amazing. Atmosphere & service were amazing as well.
  
  A world class restaurant par none.

  Fairly limited choice of food, not a steak on the menu or a piece of chicken. Everything is in strips in sauce.. bruscetta was nice though.
  Very pricey for average food and average service but seems very popular nontheless
