An absolutely enchanting place to stay, relax and enjoy the magnificent views . Wonderful hosts, beautiful surroundings to dine in and every room and corridor packed with history. Although only a short break, I cannot recommend Hilton House highly enough.
Historic building in magnificent country estate..
We have visited twice (August 2014 and July 2016) and both times were equally perfect. Fred and Johanna and the rest of the staff were flawless hosts helping to coordinate activities like clay pigeon shoots, picnics for large groups, stunning hikes, a 60th birthday party, and just making us feel totally at home during tea or wine breaks. All of our meals were incredible. The accommodations are super comfortable with spectacular views over the lakes and property. On our second visit we had a group aging from 14 months to 80 years old and everyone loved it. We will definitely be back to visit again soon!
This is such a beautiful, unique manor! Still family-owned and operated, with a ton of history! There are only 6 rooms for guests, which makes it very intimate.
Breakfast is served in the beautiful vaulted cellar (but with huge Windows leading to the garden) where - back in the day - the servants dined. You get everything from full Irish breakfast to home-made granola and poached fruit from the garden. Dinner is a 4-course delight, and no problem for people with allergies or intolerances - they can accommodate!
We spent a wonderful weekend at this stunning 17th Century Irish manor house. Joanna and Fred, the 7th generation owners and guardians of this rare heritage heirloom, are young, vibrant, charming and impeccable hosts who actively go out of their way to make sure your stay is unforgettable. Steeped in history, you're immersed in Ireland's bygone era; four-poster beds, roaring fireplaces, antiques and verdant grounds to get lost in. The food is incredible, served in one of the most lavish dining rooms we've had the pleasure of dining in. We urge you to stay - it's a rare treat that you'll cherish for years. (Joanna and Fred have recently converted the stable courtyard to accommodate weddings. I wish I could get married all over again! If you're tying the knot, Hilton Park will be a magical venue for your celebration - any celebration.) Book today!
#we stayed here for one night 2 weeks ago, and came awayelevated to a dream place. It was amazing. The house is awesome, the food was cordon bleu, mostly grown on the estate and the family were so warm and welcoming. We were VIP guests in their very spectacular mansion home. It was a very special experience which we will never forget and we can not wait to repeat it.
