My review applies to the building rather than the business.

The building is of interest because of the Public Clock with the sign that reads as follows: "DUBLIN TIME".

Before 1880, the legal time at any place in the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland was defined as local mean time, as held by the appeal in the 1858 court case Curtis v. March. The Statutes (Definition of Time) Act, 1880 defined Dublin Mean Time as the legal time for Ireland. This was the local mean time at Dunsink Observatory outside Dublin, and was about 25 minutes 21 seconds behind Greenwich Mean Time (GMT), which was defined by the same act to be the legal time for Great Britain.

The guy didn't seem to listen to me and what I was trying to buy. I actually felt humiliated and I thought "I won't be treated like this" so I walked out and bought £5000 worth of camera equipment somewhere else.
    I'll never go back there

I felt the two members of staff were very unhelpful and actually quite rude. I'm not sure if this was because my questions were regarding film photography rather than digital - but they didn't even try to help, or even pretend to care - all one word answers, mainly "no". I did end up buying a film there as I'd felt awkward for going in and just asking for an opinion, as if this had annoyed them. Left feeling uncomfortable and awkward and wished I'd gone to another shop.

Extremely knowledgeable staff member got us the exact product we needed very quickly. Couldn't have asked for better service.

OPEN ON SUNDAYS EVEN IF GOOGLE SAYS OTHERWISE!

Don't ever ask for advice if your camera breaks! €150 to send it to England for repair and that's before the work. That is all they ever offer, or to buy a new one obviously.

Poor customer service, after sales an absolute joke, return policy only applies to certain lines but this is not highlighted at time of sale.I should note that The item purchased was not on sale or a special order, so I can't understand why the return policy would not apply anyway.
The owner happily takes your money, and is happier to see you leave. Possibly the rudest shopkeeper I have had to encounter. If one is contemplating visiting Galway Camera Shop, my advice would be "Buyer Beware".
