Gallagher & Co., Solicitors was set up in September 2009 by its Principal Gerry Gallagher, who is local to Athlone. Since opening, Gallagher & Co. has striven to serve its clients with energy, professionalism and efficiency. Principal Gerry Gallagher says, ‘It is hard to believe that it is almost five years since I decided to set up the practice and since I first opened my doors to the public. We all know how tough business and domestic economics have been over the past number of years and I have been fortunate enough to attract enough valuable clients and work to get the business on its feet. I feel positive about Ireland’s economic recovery and I believe that we are seeing indications of a gradual and steady return to economic stability and growth.’

Gallagher & Co. have moved their office in the past couple of weeks to new premises on Pearse Street, Athlone, directly opposite the Garda Station. Mr Gallagher explains the motivation behind the move, ‘As I mentioned, I have been in practice in Athlone for the past number of years and I hope to have a long career providing legal service to the people of Athlone and its surrounds. While I was quite happy at my former location I felt that a move to a ground floor premises would re-energise the business and raise the profile of the business in the public eye.’

Mr Gallagher went on to say ‘Before establishing my own solicitors firm I trained and worked in General Legal practice but my area of specialty during those years was in Personal Injury cases arising from Road Traffic Accidents, slips and falls, accidents in the Workplace and Medical Negligence cases. I am very aware that a primary concern for people today seeking legal advice and assistance is the cost to them. In response, we offer our clients a ‘Fixed Fee’ on many services including transactions involving the Sale, Purchase and Re-Mortgage of property, be it residential, commercial or agricultural land.
