This bar is the last of the great Rock n Roll venues that is free from, hipster's, trendies, and overbearing Craft beer bores. The service is of a high quality and the patrons are non pretentious and the music menu caters for anyone wishing to seek an authentic experience.

This is THE metalhead watering hole in Cork. Small, cozy, dark, filled with the best metal music there is. Fancy a nice cold pint while humming Powerwolf or Manowar? That place is for you.

Had a great time in Fred's. It's a little on the small side and definitely hasn't got a modern aesthetic, but it doesn't really matter 'cas the music rocks and the crowd is great!

Cosy Irish bar with a smoking area well seated with lots to look at on the walls. Gigs upstairs. This is a rock and metal bar so If that's not what you enjoy.. The bathrooms aren't great. But I still love it there the drinks and atmosphere are really very good

If you are into rock - particularly metal, then you will like it here. Typically frequented by males of the leather coat and long hair variety, more often than females. If you like candles and dark decor you will like the look. Decent prices, sometimes have live music upstairs.
