I wanted a 5 star resort experience and it fell short. This is a beautiful resort with a really nice spa and facilities. Nice walking trails with lots of activities. The room was comfortable and relaxing. I did two nights and a full day spa package. It was nice and relaxing 😌 with a beautiful and luxurious spa. But with everything we did here it fell short of our expectations for a 5 Star resort. I spent about $1,000 and if it was half the price I would be satisfied. I still enjoyed my stay but not at this price.

Love love love this hotel. Staff services and food fantastic. The gardens are beautiful and do try the club house for breakfast. It's a must and a fab menu.

The good.. Staff pleasant. Rooms really nice. Great setting.
The bad.. Room wasn't available til 4pm.. Food nothing to write home about and creaky floors throughout the bedroom corridors. Have stayed in better hotels. Expected more of a 5 star hotel.response / report this review -

Beautiful. Staff are lovely, every one of them. Superb food. Drinks nicely priced. Perfect location. Going here again! Wait til you see the lobby and reception. Gorgeous.

Fabulous spot outside Cork city for families and couples alike. Plenty to do there - golf and spa and holiday lodges and a wild life park. Incredible. Lots of weddings while we were there so obviously popular for that. Staff so accommodating and friendly. Hotel nicely furnished and clean. Food excellent. Highly recommended.

Great setting, awesome bed but hard to get anyone at the front desk to answer the phone to get food delivered. Food we did end up getting was not very good.

Wonderful place to visit for anyone who loves animals. There is a wide selection of creatures from all over the world on view, covering many acres of grassland. In most cases the animals have plenty of room to roam and because some of them are critically endangered, it's a great chance to see of them before they disappear completely in the wild.

The lodge we're staying in is spacious, immaculately kept and really family friendly. Plenty to do in the surrounding area and the wildlife park is really good. Our second time here and certainly not our last.

Lovely hotel, with very friendly and helpful staff. Excellent breakfast. Comfortable bed and air conditioning made for a good night's sleep. Previous guests socks behind the dressing table along with dust, coins etc. Looked like it hadn't been hoovered for some time. Certainly not 5 star cleaning, but otherwise very good.

Food is awesome. I was a little disappointed at the rooms and the pool. The rooms that I got (a two person room) was just the same size as a 3 star hotel I went to. The pool is absolutely disgusting. There are bits of paper and a bunch of sand in it, and the kids PEE IN IT！

We stayed in the hotel early April 2017 as family and quite enjoyed every aspect of it. Although we are very skeptical about the hotels we choose (due to some bad experiences in the past), this one met all our expectations with a very high quality. The pool, rooms, restaurant, and bar were very clean, especially very important for us as we were staying with the kid. The room service is available almost 24 hours even in the middle of the night, with affordable prices. The staff was also very helpful and friendly, as we had a small problem with the cosmetics in the room but it was resolved very quickly. What we liked most are its location (convenient both to Cork and Cobh with a car) and the surroundings, since it has a very large garden with trekking paths and our little one quite enjoyed with her scooter.

Food was fabulous. Staff very friendly, room was huge, would have liked to have been informed about the renovations, didn't really like having to walk through a noisy dusty corridor with the baby, otherwise can't fault it. My favourite part is the hydro therapy suite - bliss

OK. I gave this 3 stars because my food was fantastic. Otherwise, it would have been a 2 star review. As i said, my food (lunch, dinner and breakfast) was great. However, the service was very very poor and definitely not up to 5* standards. It wasn't busy so I can't blame that. They seemed to have enough staff on at all times but it was as if they were all working to rule or something. Very nice people just very disorganised/disinterested. Also, my partners food wasn't great. For dinner, she got the scallops for starters (only 2 scallops) steak for mains (really nice) and poached pear for dessert (horrible). For breakfast she ordered pancakes and strawberries and got 2 pancakes and 1 strawberry cut into 3 pieces.

Gorgeous setting! Loved my time here! The bar tenders were the best. Food was excellent. Rooms were spacious and clean. Service was great.
