We stopped at Cobh after a day trip to Fota wildlife park and we were looking for a place to get some dinner. After a short walk at the port and a search online we couldn't find much so we decided to have dinner at the Commodore hotel. I think it was the best decision we made for all the choices we believed we had. The food was amazing, we had the catch of the day which was fresh salmon. Staff was very friendly and accommodating and the atmosphere was really nice. We also had a great pint of Guinness! I can't say much about the rooms or the hotel.in general as we didn't spend the night there but I would definitely recommend the hotel restaurant!
Beautiful hotel and welcoming staff! I would definitely stay there again.
I'm giving hotel 5 star for the wonderful friendly and helpful staff. Rooms are fresh and clean. Great view of harbour.. It's an old hotel but it's got a nice feeling around it.. Great value.
Had civil ceremony and reception here recently, would def recommend for anyone's special day. Both Rob and Sabrina were fantastic
What can I say stay there for 2 nights 13 September to 15 2017 staff were excellent the receptionist was a lady couldn't do enough for us I'd definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a break away I'd definitely go back again 😍😍
A must visit if you are in Cobh. Friendly staff good atmosphere great views good food and bar. Ask to staff to allow you on the rooftop beergarden, excellent.
Great food. Great place to spend the weekend. Fabulous views of spike island .cork harbour.
Really great hotel next to the waterfront, a few good resturants, and some activities (such as a Titanic museum). Helpful receptionists, great breakfast, and rooms that allow smoking. Definitely a hotel worthy of such a high rating. 5/5
Welcoming, cordial staff. Large, bright, clean room and bath. Comfie bed with crisp linens. Great sea view. Plenty of outlets for charging devices. A historic hotel that is also up to date.
Slightly quaint , family run hotel ,good food and staff .
Fantastic atmosphere. Old world charm type hotel, with all the modern conveniences. Great staff who would go out of their way to help you. Excellent food. Great views of the Harbour and if you are a photographer, then you must make use of the Roof Beer Garden. Five Stars for a fantastic welcoming experience. 2 minute walk to train station, trains run every hour to Cork City and you can link up to Dublin trains from Cork again running every hour. Commodore Hotel has everything you need for a stay. Cobh also has a Cruise Liner Terminal the biggest and greatest and historic liners and cruise ships berth or have berthed here just a few yards from the Commodore Hotel. Its a must visit.
Service was good. Food was so so. Traditional Irish fare with decent flavoring.
Really good dinner there, very well cooked dishes, a little more elaborated than usual, and decent price.
Nice setting on the waterfront in Cobh. Service was slow and food only average.
