    So much class and history here. Pure vintage, but in a good way. A very good way. Had drinks only. Strongly recommend the atmosphere.

    Waiting 5 mins to order my drinks at 2pm in the day. My fiancée had her drink half gone before I got mine. Three members of staff walked by me as I waited on my Guinness to form a skin. Won't be coming back or telling anyone to. Awful service. More interest about serving lunch. Ps there were three other customers in the pub not as if they were rushed off their feet

    I don't know how useful or valid my rating might be. Perhaps a description of my experience more helpful:

    We visited from Cape Town, South Africa and used room 1 for one night.
    * We didn't expect it to be so loud. Noise from the busy road outside, the creaking floorboards and banging doors made relaxation difficult. Also loads of construction across the road and down the street which didn't help. I don't know if that affected the room prices.
    * Great location for visiting the rest of Dublin City Central.
    * The bed was comfortable enough. And the room and bathroom were very clean.
    * No bathroom basin plug.
    * Some maintenance required - the toilet seat wasn't 100% secured and the hot water tap was loose.
    * Plumbing makes a noise after flushing.
    * The bedroom curtains allowed light through underneath.
    * The bathroom could use more hooks (?) For us to hang our things on.
    * For the same price locally we would get more - but this is Dublin City, so perhaps it's a good deal.
    * We didn't have time to properly visit the pub downstairs. It looked great and felt very cosy.
    * The kitchen outside of our room was well equipped with fridge, tea and coffee etc.
    * It was very helpful that we could store our luggage there after the 11am checkout so that we could explore more of the city before having to head home.

    Went in for dinner and it was great. The pub is cozy yet big at the same time. The food was delicious and the cider as well. Ended up going two nights in a row because it was that good.

    Great place to kill a couple of hours before a conference in Dublin. Great service and the rooms decor made me feel like I took a step in the past. I even found a picture of old Belfast in there.

    Stayed for 4 nights. The room accommodated 3 and was spacious, clean, and well-maintained. The beds were comfortable but the room faced the street, so be prepared for city noise. The staff was friendly and helpful; they helped us get a taxi to the airport the last day and were fun to talk to in the pub at night. The breakfast was great one day and messed up the next (one specific server, not just us). The WiFi was a little patchy but serviceable; based on other reviews I think the lower floor rooms are better for that. The pub dinners were fantastic; best cottage pie I've had in my life. The location is great for Trinity College, the Dublin Museum, the Whiskey Museum, and Temple Bar. It was a bit of a hike to the Guinness Storehouse but there's plenty to see and/or shop along the way. Overall a pleasant stay and I would recommend it unless you're a light sleeper.

    Great pub for a few drinks and chat with friends. Offers a great selection of craft beers and wont disappoint with some good pub grub. Great place to go after a rugby game and share analysis!
