The hotel was fine and the food from the bar was lovely and reasonably priced. They also stored two mountain bikes for us in a back room which was great. The full Irish breakfast was tasty and the service good.

But a few things just didn't work for me:

1. Serving lounge staff would be a bonus or maybe they existed but just never came near us.
2. The hotel had a disco that could be heard from our room on the opposite side of the hotel.
3. An internal fire alarm went off briefly a number of times late into the night and the next morning when we inquired we were casually told it was due to the night club!
4. Our room faced out into the local square and the noise never seemed to stop. This ranged from smokers, revellers and what sounded like a high powered car revving it's engine for what seemed like an age!
5. The room was clean but quite small. The bed was comfortable and the bath-shower was grand.

Went here to watch the Tipp v Galway game. Pint glasses were soapy which made the beer pretty much undrinkable. When we were leaving we were told that nobody was allowed back in because there were undesirables around the town, so whoever was in there had to stay in there. This was at 4:30pm

Restaurant review only: microwaved frozen food served with too little or too much sauce to cover up the lack of taste. I'm not difficult to please but this lunch was a sad point in my day!!

Staff were very helpful and friendly. The hotel room was clean and comfortable. Had to try to turn off the radiator in the middle of the night as it just constantly pumped out heat due to no thermostatic shut off. Quite noisy til 3am on the Saturday we stayed as there is a nightclub attached to the hotel and it is linked to the hotel bar

Went to the restaurant only. Very plain. Usual carvery like food. Doesn't taste fresh. Poor but cheap and friendly.

We had dinner there today and it was fabulous. Everything was beautifully cooked and the staff are more than friendly and efficient. Would definitely recommend dining here. Also lovely kids menu.
