This is a must do! Pat Sweeney is very knowledgeable and passionate about the area. If you can handle a little hiking and want to get some great pictures I recommend making it out. I know that we got to SEE and learn a lot more about the Cliff's of Moher than the people that just visited the peak, or near peak.

Do yourself a favorand don't miss the opportunity to do this walk. My husband and I did it at the beginning of our honeymoon, and boy did we feel bad for the people who only did the visitor center overlooks. Pat Sweeny grew up near the cliffs, and he knows them inside-out, and the best part about this walk (aside from the breathtaking scenery) is his passion for the cliffs and the surrounding area. He has his own farm near them, and his grandfather does as well. He is so happy to share his experiences with anyone who comes on the walkso much so that he does this walk EVERY DAY!
It's a three hour walk, starting from his farmland and ending at the visitor center. Like I said, it takes three hours and is about 5 miles of pure beauty. I wouldn't say that it is an easy walk that just anyone can do, but my husband and I did it just fine, and it's not like we're in the best shape. Pat will literally take you on the edge of the cliffs, which is just an unbelievable experience, but of course, you have to be careful!

What a great experience. Pat is very friendly and outgoing and is willing to share his stories if you want to liten. He gives you plenty of time to take pictures.
Just a tip It's a 3hr walk and some of it is NOT easy. I have asthma and struggled in a few places due to the extreme upward climb in a few places. I am glad I did it. Also, be prepared as it's €3 to catch the shuttle back to Doolin. This was not told to us before leaving on the walk so make sure you have change in your pocket!response / report this review -

There is no better way to experience the Cliffs of Moher than with Pat Sweeney as your guide on the Doolin Cliff Walk. As a local who grew up and spent his childhood on the cliffs and in the waters below, Pat shares intimate stories and insights on the most incredible landscape in Ireland. The views and photos you get on this hike you will not get any other way, even from the visitor center. We were honored to hear his pride of the Cliffs and the trail which he helped come to fruition.

Pat is so very enthusiastic and passionate about this walk! The path's scenery and history is gorgeous from start to end! I've walked it without Pat but going with him makes the trip much more of an experience. Highly recommend!
