Food was amazing as much as the inside of this place. Just perfect for someone who likes good food and pub like atmosphere with lots of TVs turned on to latest sports event.

Myself and four friends arrived in at 8:10pm on a Saturday evening and were looking for food. We managed to get a table that had a reserved sign on it for 10pm so naturally enough we would have finished eating in loads of time to have moved from the table. We all ordered main courses and had 2 chicken wing platters between us all for the starter. We also bought two drinks each. Needless to say I won't be back to the pub that I always ate and socialised in. The chicken wings that were served up to us were like as if they had been eaten or chewed at. Yes the pictures below are infact what we were handed out even though they look like that they were eaten.Secondly the steak I got was fatty and the veg that was served with it was like what the chef just wanted to get rid off. Also one of the staff was extremely rude to us and asked us to move four times even though it was still only twenty past nine. Whoever thought that Mullingar would have rude and stuck up hostesses that cared more about the party in at 10pm than the five people who handed over €30 each at 9:30pm.I didn't want to complain on the night as my friends were with me. We went up to The Fence at 9:35pm and were treated like VIPs and yes the place was busy. I certainly won't be back to Danny Byrne's for food or drinks as in this day in age, Mullingar has way better establishments that look after their customers.

Fabulous food, the chef there is always so nice and helpful, was there today during lunch hour my friend really enjoyed her food. I would give it 5 stars. Don't know what the chefs name is, foreign guy but had such a lovely manner and seems to love his job.😆

Was accused of not paying a €70 bill after I left and came back. The girl waved a receipt in my girlfriend's face. It was highly embarrassing.. The lad at the bar didn't 'cash off' when I paid him. Everyone makes mistakes but it's how you deal with them. The waitress should have asked bar staff or even looked at camera's before completely humiliating me and my girlfriend. We used to eat here at least once a week and have drinks pretty much every weekend here.. I will never step foot in this establishment again. Keep up the good work guys!

One of the best bars food establishments in Mullingar . Great live local acts, plenty of live bands thursday-Sunday. Very quint inside . great food ,great selections of beers and cocktails. Brilliant smoking area with cinematic TV screen for live sports . Nooks and crannies for quiet conversation inside
Can get very crowded with a very young crowd at weekends, not a place to bring young kids . well worth a visit
