Pretty average fish (lots of batter, not much fish) and chips (deep fried to oblivion). It's probably wise to wait for a table at one of the better restaurants close by.

The food was delicious and very well presented. I had beef cheeks and they were perfectly tender. The elder flower and lemon cheesecake had just enough elder flower notes.
The staff were friendly and very happy to answer questions about the menu. I even got a tour and the history of a very The interesting renovation.
The restaurant has a Tudor fireplace! Think 1500's! The building is steeped in history.
There even are rooms for parties and accommodation for rent above.
I think it would be an awesome place for a weekend getaway.

We came here late at night while trying to find the Tannery and were not disappointed with what we found instead. Everything was solid, especially the Hake. Would definitely recommend.

We try to go back here regularly. The lady serving is very nice, very good with the kids and the food is lovely.

Popped in for lunch, it was tasty, superb service and really helpful. Excellent standard of food in modern clean surroundings. Great value too!
