Been to a few wedding functions here and have found quite a defference on quality of food and service. Could be in relation to what the Couple are spending but l think that is unfair as food and service should be of an excellent quality no matter what.
Have gone a few times for Coffee and scone. The Cherry scones are wonderful.
This is a modern hotel and definitly appeals to the younger members of the family but l find the foyer with the water and it's openess a bit cold for my liking.
I like to sit in hotel foyers while having a coffee and watch the world go by without myself being noticed. To open in the Crystalresponse / report this review -

Three-night stay in September 2017. Nicely designed hotel – friendly staff. Hotel appears to have some management issues. Scuffed and dinged doors, hallway carpets not properly cleaned, plumbing not working property. Stoppers on sink and bathtub in room disconnected. Unable to raiser stopper on bathtub by turning knob designed to operate stopper. Had member of staff show me how to raise stopper with a fork! Undertook to have “maintenance” repair stopper – no repair was made. Another guest reported the same plumbing problem - maybe affects the whole hotel. Another problem: no business computer to use - informed by staff that monitor broken (for some time, apparently!) - a new monitor cost ±€100 - c'mon!! Unnecessary inconvenience for a hotel of this calibre. Overall, OK stay – would have ignored issues, but this is supposed to be an upmarket hotel - expect better – will book to stay again if dates and price work out.

Lovely people. Great rooms. Perfect for a wedding reception. Loved the pool facilities.

Visited twice now in the bar. Although there seems to be lots of staff,the tables can be dirty along with the carpet. But saying that, the staff are lovely and the food was delicious. It doesn't put me off but I'm sure an improvement to hardfloor in the future will do wonders.

Very busy hotel on the road into Cavan. Lovely interior. Friendly staff. Very good rooms. Despite loud live music in the bar, we heard nothing in room.

Only used the bar. I had a drink and a meal in pleasant surroundings. Food order arrived quite quickly despite being fairly busy. Food was good, no complaints. Overall pretty good.

Nice hotel but sadly had two bad nights there, woke up at 5.15 in the morning with a lot of shouting thumping and banging, sad.

I think this is a really good place to stay. I have stayed here numerous of times and feel a warm feeling as i relaxed throughout my stay. It has really friendly staff and a top class service. This would be one of the places i would recommend for people to stay.

I use the gym facility and love that it opens at 7am so I can get a gym session and swim in before work
