This is a charming hotel that is centrally located for all things Dublin. The Hop-on/Hop-off bus goes right by here near the Writers Museum. The breakfast is great, a good way to start your day. They give you a few hotel dollars to spend at the restaurants. Dinner and music in the hotel restaurant which was reasonable and tasty. The music was great too, often playing local music. The staff was super, which moves this to 4 stars. It is pricey and rather outdated, but that's all part of the charm.

Nice hotel in an ideal location. Really handy for bus services and not too far from the main attractions of Dublin. The hotel is an old building, so the floors are really creaky, but other than that it's great.

Daughter and I checked in yesterday after 3pm. 1). Desk staff said our 2 rooms were next to each other. In fact they were not. My room very small and claustrophobic, door rattles constantly. 2). I searched for outlets, could find only one! Asked at desk, they said there should be more. Nice young man came up to check with an extension cord in hand. He searched, no outlets, so I had to use ext cord for items, using them only in one area! Upon getting up in dark, tripped over cord! 3). Outside noise was unbearable all nite. Foreign speaking group fighting, yelling, singing, screaming until 430am.!
4). Room next to me was partying all nite. Men and women! I went to desk after 2am to complain, I had been kept awake all nite. The attendant after hearing my complaint simply said, it's not my fault, I'll write a note for am staff!!! I told him I expected room to be changed for all the obvious reasons! He became rude and dismissive.!!! 5). I went back down at 330 to get his name, DAVI. He had called room next door to quiet them, but he became agitated when he saw me. Ended up telling me he has security camera to show I was screaming at him! I said bring it on, because if you think I was screaming, I wasn't, but I can. THINK carefully if you want rude, dismissive people taking your money, not customer friendly, anti woman, and whiny, then stay here, try room 209 !!!!!!!

Stayed here for 3 nights! Brilliant hotel! Only a short walk to the centre but far away enouoh not to be noisy. Lovely and clean and friendly! Breakfast was good and the resterant in the evening serves gorgeous food and has traditional music every night! Husband very much recommends the beef and guinness casserole! We would definaly come back here again.

The staff here are absolutely amazing. They are very friendly and helpful. The room is comfortable and the food at The Old Music Shop Restaurant is very good. Then there's the Castle Vault downstairs with live music every night and you're only a few minutes walk from O'Connell street.

Lovely and charming hotel not far from the city centre of Dublin. I felt comfortable and the charm of the interior of the hotel reminded me of a castle (I had a chandalier in my room). I'd recommend this hotel.

Nice hotel but the room we stayed in was a bit small also early during the morning from where our room was you could hear the thud from the music being played from the breakfast bar. The food that and drinks we ordered in the evening from the downstairs bar was very nice they even had live music! In the morning the breakfast was ok but there wasn't much choice of food. They staff where friendly and helpful, there's use of a free computer and printer in one of the lounges.

Great hotel. Lovely friendly staff. Nice and clean rooms. Very warm and cosy. Have stayed in 4 different hotels in Dublin over the past couple of years and for the price this has been by far the best. Off road parking in a lovely courtyard is only €15 for the duration of your visit. Such good value. Will definitely use this hotel again.

I'd say the best attribute about this hotel is its short distance from O'Connell street. The downsides of this hotel are that rooms with facing the street are loud, the single rooms are tiny, and there's only one blanket on the bed. Breakfast was loud and busy. The remodeled bathrooms are quite classy though.

This place is a "family owned" establishment! Have met the owner! The employees have gone out of their way to assist me! Will see you again in April 2017! Thanks for your support!
Great place! Should be 5.0 just due to customer care!
