Beautiful country house right off the Ring of Kerry. Great location as it is a short drive from both Killarney National Park and Skellig Michael. The house is very clean and the hosts are incredibly hospitable. Breakfast is also very tasty!

We stayed here for two nights and had an absolutely wonderful time. Everything about this place, from the location and atmosphere to the staff made for the absolute perfect stay while we explored the Ring of Kerry. Carrig House is a lovely ivy-clad property, tucked away on Lough Carragh. The sitting rooms are cozy and relaxing, the grounds are beautiful - and our room had a wonderful view of the lake. The staff is absolutely superb, and the restaurant was wonderful. I have nothing negative to say about this place at all, this was one of our favourite stays in Ireland.

We started with a cocktail in the drawing room, where they also provided us menus. The Carrig Country House took our dinner and wine order as we sat alone in the drawing room sipping on cocktails. They brought us a prawn appetizer without asking, then showed us to our table with a view to die for. Our dinner experience was truly amazing and unique. The dinner was for foodies only, if you like chicken tenders as an entree, don't bother. We dinned on local Hake and scallops..2 dishes that delighted the senses. We concluded with brandy back in the drawing room by the fire..all we can say is thank you for the experience.

Frank & Chavon run a fabulous B&B on Lake Caragh (8km west of Killorglin) in County Kerry. The food was spectacular and their level of service was excellent. The house, grounds as well as our room were all just perfect.
