  We stayed here for one night and we were greeted by the owners daughter who was friendly and showed us our room, where the breakfast room was and gave us taxi numbers so we could head into town for dinner. The room was a good standard but there was no tea/coffee making facilities in the room (although I believe you can help yourself to tea and coffee in the breakfast room at any time). Unfortunately a previous guest had obviously been smoking in the bathroom as it stank of cigarette smoke, the owner was not available at the time but has since apologised for this and advised that we would have been moved to another room had she realised.
  
  Breakfast was a self service continental style meal, which was fine although we did feel a little like we'd broken into someone's house and we were helping ourselves! Unfortunately we were still unable to meet the owner due to circumstances beyond her control - a real shame as by all accounts the owners normally give a fantastic welcome. At the time we were unaware of the circumstances and initially wrote a bad review due to the lack of contact with the owner during our stay, however we have since had communication with Ann and understand now why we did not have the same experience as all other guests who have stayed here and we have decided to amend our review. We hope that we can return at some point to experience this warm Irish welcome!
