Expensive and beer only in bottles. The location is nice.
Simple but tasty food. Excellent service
We found Byrnes Restaurant in Ennistymon by chance while staying in nearby Lahinch, we could not locate parking for any of the restaurants that had been recommended to us - and to be truthful, the street they were on was a bit too rowdy for us as we were exhausted after sight-seeing and traveling all day and wanted a quiet dinner. We decided to stop at Byrnes and try it out - and we were so glad we did! The atmosphere was so inviting and charming, and the waitstaff greeted us immediately. We had a wonderful, relaxing meal - the seafood chowder was exquisite, the fish & chips were excellent, and the tenderloin with mashed potatoes was absolutely delicious. We thought we had hit the jackpot by this point, only to be impressed once again when our server brought our dessert literally, the best chocolate mousse we have ever had. This was for sure, our top dining experience during our two week vacation, which spanned not only Ireland, but England, Scotland and Wales as well. A phenomenal experience! Highly recommend Byrnes, and we will revisit for sure when we come back. :-)
Lovely food, no fuss, good friendly service, and just liked the feel of the place.
Wonderful food, lovely atmosphere such friendly staff. Lovely balcony and court yard; definitely be back over the summer months.
Try seafood soupe, avoid tasteless crab and shrimps.
Nice view! Came for mothers day with our two toddlers. Waiter came over promptly took our drink orders. Came back took our meal orders. They have a special three coarse meal for mothers day. Our appetizers came out quickly but no drinks. After that we waited about 40 then they cleared our table. They asked of we wanted anything else and we told them we had not received our meal or drinks. They came back and said it was missed. How do you miss two cranky toddlers under 3 yrs of age? They then put the order in and forgot our drinks again. Multiple servers came back twice more to ask us what our drink order was. Finally we got our drinks and food which was good. Then another server came back and asked if we wanted the bill or more drinks. The meal stated a dessert option which she had to go back and reread the menus to confirm. Got the desserts ofter a little wait. Go to pay and same server had no idea we had even been there had to spell the bill out for them to pay.
Clean rooms, great customer service, safe area.
Absolutely fantastic food and wonderful service!!! I ordered the asparagus and feta cheese flat bread and loved every bite! (i rarely try new foods and combinations and was more than pleasanty surprised!) our high spirited toddler loved her pasta and was even invited to visit the kitchen to be entertained briefly so mom and dad could savor a few bites in peace. Best spot to eat since we have been in Ireland!!!
Extremely dissapointed, was out for a birthday treat with my wife and children and as we passed this establishment it looked very inviting with the menu and also the views looking out from the back of the restaurant. But that's as good as it got. The food was extremely bland with no flavour and for the price you expect to have a decent meal. I had the seafood risotto and my wife a vegetarian dish that both had no flavour. The staff never once checked on us and even clearing our plates never asked if everything was OK. Yes we did eat everything but only because it was late and we were hungry. The very least you expect from a meal is for it to have flavour.
