Beautiful food friendly efficient staff and all set in a quaint old world setting this restaurant is well worth a visit if visiting Galway city. We had a lovely room upstairs for our lively group of 38 and it was great as we all got to stay together for this special meal. The menu catered for all needs vegetarian included and we all enjoyed our food. The lamb dish in particular went down a treat and there desserts were delicious. Good restaurant and great memories were made.

We were taken for a ride @ Buscer Brownes!!!! :((( Me and my friends went to the Buscer on Saturday the 28th of October for a Halloween party that was advertised with a big prizes for a best costume. Around 11pm we asked one of the staff members about the best costume competition and she had no clue what to say!!! She came back to us though after a while and said that we don't have to do anything and that the contest organizers are walking around people to choose the winnersand that was it!!! We stayed to the very end and nobody mentioned the competition!! We felt disappointed and taken for a ride. Why did they lie to their customers if they had no intention to follow through with their add re the competition??!! The town was packed so I'm sure it was a good business night for all the pubs around Shop Street and there was no need to advertised something that wasn't truth. Very disappointing..

It's been a little while since we've been here. But the last time we were here, I had the Guinness & Lamb Stew. It was fantastic. The atmosphere is more contemporary than most of the surrounding restaurants. But it provided for a nice change of pace while we stayed in Galway. The prices we a bit on the high side, but too bad. And for my usual warning for Americans dining in Europe. The pace of the service is not as quick as it is in the US. Personally, I don't mid that.

They spent like 45 minutes to bring the food. Food was not special at all. Beef and Guinness has more potato than beef. Good ambient. As an Irish pub is top!

One of my favourite bars in town more posh than the rest and whith some pretty good live music, the jazz nights are fenomenal.

Cocktails at the bar, yes. Great ambiance and the bar knows what it is doing. The food/dinner - meh.

To all of our fellow Americans, avoid Busker Brownes Restaurant and Pub at all costs! We went in with a group of eight, four adults and four kids, the staff said it would take about 45 minutes for us to be able to order food, this was at 8pm. We sat there for over 45 minutes, then the waitress came up and said, 'Sorry, the kitchen is closed!' We waited for nearly an hour, children starving for them to tell us we couldn't order dinner! This was absolutely ridiculous, our poor kids didn't get to eat, they were miserable! The manager came out and was absolutely useless. He tried giving us a song and dance about how one of the chefs got sick, meanwhile several people around us got their food. The staff are horrible! Do yourself a favor and avoid this place like the plague! There are plenty of other places in Gallway City to go.
